Small beginnings

Added a Merr Sonn Power 5 resin cast blaster, this was a B grade cast that needed done large bubbles to be repaired and small bubbles to be filled, overall I'm very happy with it. Joins my Doopydoos E-11 and 3D printed SE-14R in my Imperial collection.

Time for another update. Over the past few months I've picked up a few more Star Wars related items.

After losing or giving away all of my. 70s/80s Star Wars figures back in the 80s when I was still just a teenager, I decided that I wanted to pick up a few Imperials to go with the helmets and 1/6 scale figures in my collection. So now I have a Stormtrooper, TIE Pilot (forgot it looks like a Womble due to the long nose), Snowtrooper, AT-AT Driver, and Scout. (Just realised that the Snowtrooper isn't in my photo, I'll replace it when I get chance to take a new photo)

I went a bit mad one evening and bid on a US Navy Vietnam era APH-5A helmet, it's not the exact right model for the basis of the TIE and X-Wing pilot helmets as it doesn't have the C shaped oxygen mask catches, but it's close enough. Problem now is that I want a real Sterling too ...

I also wanted a Han in Carbonite to go with my Marmit Boba Fett, and picked up the Hasbro 12" Han 2 pack for next to nothing.

I also pre-ordered the Black Series Vader helmet on Amazon UK as soon as it appeared, and got it almost as soon as it hit the UK warehouse. It might not be accurate with its fat face and small dome, but I'll display it separated which will help hide the issues and will be close enough to RotJ for me, going next to my EFX PCR ANH and modified Rubies Supreme as ESB.

And today I received the last of the 5 Hasbro 12" bounty hunters I wanted to stand alongside Boba Fett, now I just to unbox them and get them posed add close as I can to the way they were in the ESB Star Destroyer scene.

Congrats on the haul. You should go for a Sterling and convert it with real parts. But be careful that those parts are getting more and more expensive each day. Do not wait too long

Yet again I've forgotten to post stuff here, it's been over 18 months since my last confession [emoji14]

Been a quiet time for adding to my various collections. For Christmas my wife bought me the United Cutlery The Sword of Bard the Bowman from The Hobbit to go along with my other swords from LotR and The Hobbit, put it up today next to the ringwraith sword on the stairs as I'm running out of wall space!

Last month I received my RS Prop Masters Hero Stormtrooper helmet, which will be the centerpiece of my display in my home office refit.

And earlier in the year I picked up the Black Series Boba Fett helmet, pictures get with my Marmit 1/6 figure.

Hoping to get get started on the home office in the new year, need to insulate the two exterior walls to stop condensation first, and get it painted, but I've figured out I can just about squeeze two Besta and two Detolf in (the room is only 2.1m X 1.85m) and I've been planning it out on SketchUp - each Besta large frame will be in top of a 38cm high Besta, and the Detolfs on top of Kallax cubes.
