Smallville 7th Season - SPOILERS

If anyone has kind of given up on this show they should really check out this weeks episode.

They really advanced the story and just focused on what the main storyline should have always been about. If only all the episodes were this good and focused, the show would be da bomb! Next weeks preview also looks like it will be very good. I really hope they can keep this up and end this season on a high note.

The last 3 episodes have been exceptional. Just when the mediocrity has driven me to the brink of giving up the show entirely, they manage to throw together a couple of gems and I'm back into it.

Yep, it seems like they will throw out enough crap that I get tired of and wonder why I waste my time and then they throw out some great episodes and suck me back in.

I remember the writers saying something like this at SDCC "It's extremely difficult to create a 20+ Episode Single-Story Arc that will both advance the story and keep fans interested for that lenght of a season without some filler (Crappy) episodes inbetween. I think that's SOOOOOOO much Bullcrap. I love the superman/clark character and could wrote 500000 episodes based on him. Suppose that's what you get when you have non-fans write the show.

ANYWAY, Tonight's episode was great. No Lana=AWESOME! Lois being spunky=AWESOME! Lex being really evil=AWESOME! Story progressing and leading to the finale=AWESOME! With the preview of Lex finding the fortress=AWESOME!

Can't wait for next week's episode...and mark my words, I don't think Lionel's dead....

I didn't think the episode is that great, but they are building to the finale and if nothing else, they give good finale.

I had sort of thought they were going to build up Lionel as the new villain since Rosenbaum is leaving, but I guess not...

So what did Lex see in Lionel's eye?

I actually loved this episode. It was kinda nice to see them kill off a main character. Any episode without Kara is a good one in my book. Like most, I felt that this season was kinda stalling but it has certainly picked up with the past few episodes.

It was green, that's all I know. My HD channel was all kind of f'n up so I had to watch it on the regular channel and didn't DVR it.

Any episode without Kara is a good one in my book.

That's exactly how I feel about Lana. Whenever she's not around it's like a huge weight is lifted off of the show because they don't have to concoct yet another preposterous storyline that makes here even less likeable.

Love the show. It's one of the only ones left I watch anymore.
I agree with most points made. I actually do like Kara A lot, but was fine with core stuff this go round.
Tired of Lana also.
Not tired of Lois AT ALL!
Lex ruled. Don't think Lionel's dead either.
But, my favorite thing about the whole show, is Clark is looking more and more like Superman. The last shots of he and Lex over Lionel's grave, ruled. Kid's looking more like my idea of Supes every episode. Especially when he's getting more and more backbone. Love that. Wish he was Supes in a movie. May be yet, if WB has ANY backbone and an ounce of practicality. Seven (or more) years of development and emotional interest = payoff in a movie.
That's just my opinion.

Show does need to wrap up though. Too much more and it's dull again.

Yep, I'm fine with Kreuk leaving the show - they've pretty much exhausted what they can do with Lana - making her a witch, marrying Lex, now a millionairess funding programs but secretly plotting to take down Lex - they've really stretched trying to find something for her to do.

And I love Erica Durance - best Lois ever! As for the suit - 4 of the cast were at the recent sci-fi grand slam here in LA and I went to see them - Jimmy, Jon Jonzz, Lois and Kara. They were all very good even though 2 of them had never done a convention. Phil Morris was great though - knew how to work the crowd and reveled in being a fan of the comics and knew much more about the mythology than any of the others.

Anyway, about the suit - someone said when it was going to happen and they implied that Welling wasn't going to do it - he had a real strong feeling about never wanting to put the suit on.

I went to go see Fight Club at a little theater is Thousand Oaks last night. I sat down and I turn and Pa Kent was sitting next to me. I said that I loved him on Smalleville and I asked if he was going to return. He said that he would love to come back if they write a good part for him.

thats pretty awesome... i've pretty much written off smallville for quite a while now...in fact i'm not even sure why i still watch it anymore. and since season 1 i've always hated lana. her character just seems to drag down clark, and yet she just doesn't have a purpose at all. i'd much rather see more episodes of lois in a bikini than have to ever think of lana coming back.
