Actually I think she did a great job in this episode - I even thought while watching about how much she's grown as an actress.

And Allison was downright creepy as Brainiac.

Apparently the answer to my question is -1 day. Downloaded it today from Amazon.

Great episode! I was dreading them using the superhero names, but the only full use was kind of ironic (Lightning Lad). Although Garth did call Rokk "Cos" as one point. And loving the line "Cool it Garth, your acting like a sub". Talk about an esoteric reference for the fanboys.

Decent casting, cool costumes and the way they fit in all their powers at the end was pretty brilliant - it all fit naturally too.

Yea, I was really pleased how they handled the 3 Legionnaires; still hoping for a blob like bouncing boy to make a cameo :rotfl:rotfl Plus, the chick who played Saturn Girl :love:love:love

Well I missed the last episode also, but I was able to see it on Youtube. I thought it was really good, and I'm glad that Chloe got her memory back of Clark's secret in the end. I didn't really like the fact that Clark asked Jor-El to remove it. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the season. Question though to you guys.....How do you think Doomsday is gonna be handled? What I mean is in the comic's Superman dies by the hands of Doomsday I think, I don't really read comic's much, (even though I don't believe he's really dead, to me he can never die. Of course like I said, I don't follow the comic's anyway. :lol) so how do you guys think that's gonna be handled in Smallville?

We got hints that Chloe doesn't go down in history. I wouldn't be surprised if Doomsday kills her and this spurs Clark to his flights and tights and even greater responsibility.

I think so too. The legion said that they had even heard of Jimmy Olsen, why would they heard about him? Unless he helps with clark/supes after Chloe dies, maybe he finds out about clark as/after Chloe dies.

So you guys think Clark wouldn't even die and instead Chloe would, so that way Clark goes on to become Superman and fight another day? So even though he wouldn't die in Smallville, he'll still die later on? Like I said, I refuse to believe he really dies, it just doesn't seem right. :monkey2 I'll quote the T.V. show Mythbusters...."I reject your reality, and substitute my own!" :lol

On a side note, I finally reached 1,000 posts!! :rock2 :lol

I agree, I think they are going to use this as an opportunity to end her character and progress clarks into his "superman" persona. I see This season ending in tragedy, with the hope of Clark taking on the Superman Mantel. Its gonna be great!!!

Since they've rumored to have backed up a truck of money to Welling for a Season 9, they don't really need anyone else for the series to continue (although if they lose Erica, I'll probably stop watching). And Allison has been around since season 1 - her paycheck has to be pretty high. I can see them killing her off just for budgetary concerns.

Yea, if Lois goes bye-bye, so do I.

If killing Choe means we finally get "Superman" I say DIE BABY! and if we Do get season 9, then we have to have Lois too. Do you know if season 9 is for sure?

We'll the internet rumors are floating around that they have asked Welling what it would take to come back for a season nine. Rating's have been solid for the CW and they cut a good amount of the episode budget since last season. With Lex and Lana pretty much gone as well, they save some money there. I could be wrong but I think Smallville is the highest rated CW show or among the top ones.

There is also the rumor that Rosebaum is coming back for one last Lex episode to end the season, which could lead to a big carryover to a season nine if they have one. I could see it going another season, heck even ten seasons if they do it right.

...But still can't act her way out of a wet paper bag.:lol

I agree with Dave. I didnt see much wrong with her acting. It is appropriate for the type of show that it is. This is not meant to win Oscars. Maybe your bias is blinding?

You could be right.
I've never liked her character, but agree she is hella hot.

I may let my dislike for Lana effect how I feel about Kristen Kreuk.
But I defintely don't buy her as Chun-Li.
:D

So I just read this about an upcoming episode

The CW's Official Description (Added 1/20/09): SMALLVILLE BRINGS IN ANOTHER DC VILLAIN — An explosion at LuthorCorp kills all the Board members and injures Oliver (Justin Hartley), who was there to announce the merger of his company with LutherCorp. Oliver believes that Lex is responsible for the blast, but Clark (Tom Welling) and Lana (Kristin Kreuk) learn that the bomber is Winslow Schott (guest star Chris Gauthier), a toymaker and former Queen Industries employee with a grudge against Oliver. Michael Rohl directed the episode written by Holly Henderson & Don Whitehead (#3T7464).

TOYMAN !!!!! :lol:lol:lol:lol:lol This is going to be hilarious.

I love the expanding Smallville universe! I think season 8 should conclude with the introduction of the New Gods and hint at Apocolypes/Darkseid. Then if there is a 9th season they have plenty of material to work with, and if there isnt then it truly introduces Clark as the possible hero of the galaxy as the legionairs hinted at.

Darkseid would be an entire season arc, I would like a little more closure on S.8. But I'm guessing all the makeup and sets needed for a New Gods storyline would be way out of the range of a TV budget.

some pretty cool casting news.....Zatanna will be appearing, she is probably one of my favorite DC characters, it's too bad she is underused quite a bit since magic powers in the DC universe are all over the place.

Not to bad looking as well!

Evan

I don't know much about Zatanna myself, but it sounds like it could be cool. I'm looking forward to tonight's episode.

Anyone notice when Lana was uploading data at the Isis Foundation, the Prometheus Version One looked like the schematics for the battle armor Lex wears in the comics?

bleh why did they have to put Bones and Smallville on at the same time tonight....grrr and a double of Bones same time as Supernatural, only so much my DVR can handle...

Does CW have full Smallville episodes?
