I finally managed to play through LotR War in the North.
I enjoyed it dispite the fact that WB introduced wizzards/magicans in the game which I hated in LotR Conquest, too.
Anyways it convinced me to get the Snow Troll Statue.

Yeah, it was for sure. Things got a bit spread out for me now so I can't totally complain about that.

No, the troll was never in March specifically. He was originally set as a Q1 release when he went up for order which covers months Jan-March, then as other pieces got pushed around this was moved to a Q2 release (April-June), November of 2011 a member showed Flex-Pays going through August (started in May) which match up where we are now, February of this year I said the product page showed May which matches up to the Q2 release we saw fairly early in the process for this piece, and now we're at August which is Q3 of this year.

August is fine by me, but I would not be surprised if he get released before then. :slap

Only time will tell. :lecture

I feel he will be well worth the wait...whenever he arrives. :wink1:

If he does thats awesome but hopefully August is the final month for this.

He will be worth it I think.

i have a giant 60" wide x 90" tall x 22" deep display coming next week, so anytime after that is good for snow troll. Can fit so many more statues :yess:

Yeah, I keep trying to figure out where to put him. Might have to put some figures up to make room.

I haven't even decided where to put the big guy. He won't fit in my curio. I might have to put him on top of it.

that's the big problem with curios, they just dont work for the larger sideshow statues. The shelf depth is way too short ~15" and most have glass shelves that is dangerous to hold such heavy statues.

i have been trying for a long time to find a curio that will fit my optimus prime that's under $2000 and finally managed to track down a perfect solution.

It's the ikea PAX wardrobe with the big sliding glass doors. It has a real shelf depth of 22"!!!!! and can be configured to go anywhere 60" to 120" wide and 90" TALL! The only problem is it doesnt come with clear glass, so what you need to do is measure the glass panels it come with then order the clear glass/acrylic panels of same size/depth off the web. Total cost including led lighting & custom panels is <$1000 which is a relative bargain considering it cost at least twice as much to get one custom made or the few that has a 20"+ depth.

Here's the link for anyone interested: https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S79894902/#/S89850417

I love my curio, but the biggest issue is that it's only about 11-3/4" deep (so no hope of fitting the Snow Troll). I can barely fit the Morgul Lord PF in it. His base barely fits and I can only slide the door open from one side because his sword touches the front glass and catches the inner lip of the door if I open it wrong.

I have a Howard Miller Ramsdel curio. It's 80 inches high, 50 inches wide and 21.5 or 22 inches deep with super thick adjustable glass shelves. I've got my entire non Indiana Jones collection in it. I don't have much, but the bottom shelf is currently housing six PFs and there is room for at least two more with strategic placement. It set me back $1,200 and I think it's a great-looking curio, especially for a LOTR collection.

Hi choopie, are you sure the REAL SHELF DEPTH is 21-22" and not the entire curio depth? Because this was the exact model I looked to get and actually called howard miller, they said the real shelf depth was only 15"

I ended up getting a macy's furniture curio for $1000 that listed a depth dimension of 25" but when i got it i found the actual shelf depth was only 17" :( still wont fit my optimus, that's how i found the pax.

I feel very constrained even with a 17" depth on PF statues, 12" is unworkable man :slap
