Saw this it was alright kristin stewart killed it For me that girl cant act to save her life.

Not gonna lie, I loved this movie.

Parts reminded me of:

Willow
The Hobbit
Time Bandits
Legend
Lion Witch and the Wardrobe
Joan of Ark
Pan's Labyrinth
Princess Bride
The Matrix

This movie is much more awkward and quirky than I was expecting. In a good way. For that reason, I can see this being a cult classic.

I agree that Kristen Stewart is no great actress, but she seemed to work okay for this character. Charlize Theron, on the other hand, was fecking spectacular. When she screamed "OUT!" to her servants, it seriously freaked me out...

The editing seemed bad to me, and the plot/backstory was confusing and convoluted, but for some reason this added to it. It seemed to borrow a lot (rip off) from other stories/movies, but that even worked for me. The negatives about the film give it an almost 'so-bad-it's-good' feel (that is so prominent in many cult classics), if that makes sense... My only real complaint is that it felt too long. If it wasn't for that, I can see myself watching it over and over again.

Will definitely buy on Bluray.

Saw it last night with my wife and really, really liked it. Loved the design and expansion of the original story. Is Charlize gorgeous or what? Holy hell. She is one beautiful woman... Kristen Stewart didn't really ruin this for me in any way, though it should be noted, she also didn't add to the film in any real way either.

You know which character I really dug? The queen's brother. That dude was just so ugly. That guy played his part well.

Yeah, the queen's brother was great. :exactly:

At first I thought I was just gonna find him really irritating, but he turned out to be a bad guy I 'loved to hate'. He even turned out to be kind of a badass.

P.S. Flosi, I forgot to send your legs! :panic:

Getting on that now! :lecture

Yep. Cool and original take on fairies. The whole scene with the deer creature (what's it called?) was just so trippy and random. Loved it.

Yeah, same here. :lol A few famous actors there.

I loved them. I had no idea they were going to be in the movie, so it was a nice surprise. They reminded me of the Time Bandits dwarves.

I can't believe you didn't list Legend in the movies above. I'm guessing you've never seen it? "Mortal girl who touches majestic white forest beast while being observed by dwarves as the evil trackers shoot said beast with arrow" is straight out of it. :D

I've seen it, and good call! :exactly: Gonna go edit that post.

It really borrowed from a lot.

Finally got around to see this,
and, I was very bored,
there were things I loved, Charlize Theron was completely amazing, she has to be one of the most beautiful women who ever lived, Thank God she did this, I just read Angelina Jolie and Winona Ryder were considered, but Charlize was just amazing, not only amazingly beautiful but I loved her role of the queen,
I also really liked Kristen Stewart, well, she acted the same as always but it worked here

I liked the beginning, but I just felt so bored throughout, not much was happening, the movie felt very anticlimactic at first, Snow white escapes, snow white runs, i mean, it felt long and a little boring,

also, if the dark forest is so evil, why did everyone made it out just fine? for something that was supposed to be so bad and evil, everyone that went in there made it out just fine, there were no monsters no creatures, it was all hallucinations, that was a HUGE let down for me, I hated that, the forest should have at least have dark creatures, same with the glass knights, the first battle was really cool and surprising, and the end fight with the glass creatures too, but then, what happened? the human battles were so boring, same old stuff, I wish this movie did everything different, it did some things differently but then it felt on the same old cliches that these movies have, I wish the movie was more fantastical, One Troll and a couple of fairies doesn't make this a fantastical movie, I really felt cheated,

I was looking forward to this, it looked like it was going to be good, but it was very cliche and tired, how many times are they going to make the same period fights in movies, watching this I Was reminded to Alice in Wonderland and The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, and Also Eragon, and not in a good way, I felt I was watching those same movies at parts, I know this was a movie from an old story, but the way it was executed made me feel i was just watching those other movies again

"Snow White and the Huntsman"

This may contain spoilers but not many: Just downloaded this off of Zune and finished watching it early this morning. This movie did get many bad reviews and I am still trying to figure out why. It seems like the movies with the worst reviews end up being the best movies out...so I had a good feeling about this movie even before I watched it. First off make sure if you can to watch this on an HDTV...the special effects and overall the whole scenery of the movie is absolutely gorgeous. This is one of those movies that goes from being a slow drawn out drama into a full out action movie. The main story I must say even though simple...it had my eyes glued to the screen the whole time. The actor who portrayed "Thor" is actually the huntsman and I must say he does a very decent job in this movie. This movie is quite lengthy being over 2 hours long...so be sure you are in a relaxed state with no distractions before watching this movie...and of course watching this in a dark room is definately a must.
I really do not remember the story of "Snow White"...in fact as a kid I do not believe we ever had this story told to us. All I remember as far as the story goes is this Wicked Witch that spends way too much time looking at herself in the mirror asking it if she is hot.
I seriously doubt this is the same story that is told to kids in school...maybe the same basic plot but I am sure they added plenty of extra parts such as one part reminding me of "Sleeping Beauty". This movie kinda has that Harry Potter feel to it (even though I am a much bigger fan of Harry Potter) and the dwarves that end up helping her are pretty cool as well.
Again this is a movie definately worth checking out. It is not the best movie I have ever seen but must say it is one to watch at least one time.
