Anyway, I just had been too long, I hope the next PF announcement will be soon and not in a few months ...

The release schedule is not set by Dusty. She may see things in development and not know exactly when they are due for release. So she neither confirms nor denies, since she really isn't in charge of choosing the proper time for the announcements and preorders. Once the decision is made to reveal a new product, the web team leaps into action. Dusty may have seen a near finished PF and assumed that it would be shown to us this month, and it turns out that they are still making some final adjustments. I don't think she knew we weren't going to see one and wanted to tease us or "toy" with us--she may have honestly thought that it might be time to show the new piece, but it just didn't work out. She doesn't enjoy manipulating our emotions...

And Vince, I know that you weren't really accusing her of that, you just got me thinking. It's just a good reminder for all of us (myself included) who have hung a great deal of hope upon those cryptic hints that have been dropped along the way that Dusty didn't intend to mislead us, and that Sideshow didn't break a promise or anything.

I just hope they will bring some news soon ...

The Legendary Scale busts are nice, but it's the PF that does it for me !
And there is still lots of love for LOTR ...

After a year of absolutely nothing from the PF line I hardly think we need to learn patience...we're already experts at it!

Is there a LOTR PF Line? Hmmm all I remember is that GG has soooooo much LOTR stuff out there today, doesn't seem like anyone else cares...

BTW we did get a Sauron Legendary bust, it'll go great with the Sauron Statue and a Sauron Helm, and ... Wait!!!!!!!!! What do I need three Sauron Heads for???

I really do think SS has dropped the ball on this one. We have yet another Star Wars one and the awesome looking Legend one and even a Buffy and Elvis one. I realise that we have SDCC coming up in July but you really need to have two announcements between then for this line to survive. And even at 2 per year we are talking a LONG time to finish the fellowship.

There is of course a solution to all this. Instead of SS telling us how commited they are to the LOTR lines, and how valued we are as LOTR collectors..they can actually prove it via their actions. Would this thread even exist if it hadn't been a year between announcements?
I realize the LOTR licence is no longer the "bread and butter" at SS and that their Marvel and Star Wars licences are much more profitable. But I also know it was the SS/Weta partnership, and we as collectors, that helped to put SS where they are today. Is it asking too much from SS to give us back some of the loyalty we have given them for the past several years?
After seeing the preview of the PF Darth Maul [WOW!]I'm beginning to wonder if I'm betting on the wrong horse...and I'm not even a Star Wars fan!

it really is a shame sideshow isn't doing more with this line, could have been so great. But it just takes them too freakin' long to release the stuff. Should've previewed something for the fair...

I want the next figure announced badly. As much as anyone here because like you guys I love LOTR it means a lot to me. So I'm with you guys on wanting something announced.
