Damn that is an old thread bump.
I'd say Casually Ardent. I love SW but not enough to notice the teeth in a mask or ____ retentive to pick out certain other things.
I don't think that's necessarily diehard as much as it is OCD.![]()
Am I the meaining in your life, Dave?
As I said before, I've downgraded myself from hard-core to casually ardent.
I love what I love, and the rest I just don't focus on. Life's too short.
I'm not sure where I fit in. For me, SW = OT + PT + EU.

CW has an entirely different feel, as it's completely marketed toward children. It's still technically Star Wars, but lacks in the complexity seen in the movies and some parts of the expanded universe.
Sure, TPM wasn't great, AOTC was decent, and ROTS was mostly good except for super corney dialogue, but overall the PT still has the same sense of adventure as the OT. Of course, the OT still has more of that sense. But the movies are all good. (Except for the CW movie)
I WANT to collect more Star Wars things. I mainly stick to 1/6. But with several other highly expensive hobbies, my 1/6 collection remains fairly small.
I suppose I'm semi-diehard. I just don't like the CW. The movies + most EU things are pretty awesome though, IMO.
you sure about that?
A gurney of heads brought before jabba in the movie.
anakin Stabbing a man through the back with his lightsaber in voyage of temptation.
Anakin betraying and using an old flame of Padme's in one of the early season 2 episodes ( forget the mane) and it gets him killed. then lying to padme about it?
I'll admit it's target is children, but no more than the rest of the movies were. and in many (not all) i find the CW does an excellent job of making the characters (anakin in particular) more complex, believable characters.
The problem is, like with any TV show, it's hit and miss.
Yeah, they're trying to put more adult things in there, but it's not working for me. Still seems like what it is: A Cartoon, on Cartoon-Network no less. Most shows they show are TV-Y7, and I believe Clone Wars is too. Ahsoka is in my opinion, sillier, more annoying, more out of place, and even more orange than Jar Jar was in TPM.
There are too many instances where any enjoyment I got out of an episode is crushed during a battle-scene with completely flat dialogue, or sterotypical villains, or completely silly thought processes.
I just can't stand it. And I always liked to think that Boba inherited his father's armor and ship, but apparently he blew both of then up, and just so happens to get almost exactly the same armor, and the exact same kind of proto-type ship, which has the exact same name. Some people are cool with that, but I really don't like it.
Some people like Clone Wars, I don't. Some people enjoy movies like 'G-Force' about talking spies/hampsters who constantly make bathroom jokes. I don't.
I'm not saying that Clone Wars = G-Force, just saying that people have different tastes, and that I just can't enjoy Clone Wars, and so classify Star Wars as just OT + PT + EU.
You're spewing unfounded opinions again. It's not marketed directly to kids. A greater chunk of the storylines have a heavy adult theme. And let's not forget the heavy death tolls. As a matter of fact, proof's in the pudding. Three episodes before, it was actually cut down so that it's more "kid friendly" vs. adult when they cut Ventress kissing a clone while killing him. You actually need to start watching the show before weighing in with ignorance.![]()
