Ray the reason this never happened was because they never actualy had the rights. The company were very unreliable and unfortunatly they had big plans there was to be a 3.3/4" scale line with vehicles and a 6" Mcfarlane like collectors range i saw pics of some prototypes and a list of what could have been.
The sculptor who did the prototypes didn't even know that they didn't have the rights.this same company has gone bust several times and changed its business name at least 3 times.
Is that Cards Inc? If so they did some great Harry Potter 3 3/4 figures (as figures in that scale go) and had some great talent.
Why did Broccoli change her mind? Under her leadership there have been at least two Bond 1/6 lines, the Action Man line (which was great fun) and SSC's, plus the Real Action Heroes Connery and Brosnan.
I could see Enterbay getting it if they wanted it bad enough; it seems to me that they could get the licence if they sold it to Broccoli not as an 'action figure' but as a luxury product, because Bond is all about luxury products.
Forget cardboard boxes, I'm thinking the packaging would have to be a chrome bullet with 007 engraved on the front and lined with velvet on the inside... you open it out and it begins to play the Bond theme tune... inside is the best Arnie Kim HS ever, immaculate tailoring and a metal 1/6 Walther PPK made from a melted down prop actually used in one of the movies...
Or something.
