Ray the reason this never happened was because they never actualy had the rights. The company were very unreliable and unfortunatly they had big plans there was to be a 3.3/4" scale line with vehicles and a 6" Mcfarlane like collectors range i saw pics of some prototypes and a list of what could have been.
The sculptor who did the prototypes didn't even know that they didn't have the rights.this same company has gone bust several times and changed its business name at least 3 times.

Is that Cards Inc? If so they did some great Harry Potter 3 3/4 figures (as figures in that scale go) and had some great talent.

Why did Broccoli change her mind? Under her leadership there have been at least two Bond 1/6 lines, the Action Man line (which was great fun) and SSC's, plus the Real Action Heroes Connery and Brosnan.

I could see Enterbay getting it if they wanted it bad enough; it seems to me that they could get the licence if they sold it to Broccoli not as an 'action figure' but as a luxury product, because Bond is all about luxury products.

Forget cardboard boxes, I'm thinking the packaging would have to be a chrome bullet with 007 engraved on the front and lined with velvet on the inside... you open it out and it begins to play the Bond theme tune... inside is the best Arnie Kim HS ever, immaculate tailoring and a metal 1/6 Walther PPK made from a melted down prop actually used in one of the movies...

Or something.

The Bond dolls line never really got over A C Gilbert acquiring the rights in 1965,sadly.Marx wanted it but got turned down which is how we ended up with Mike Hazard.

There are some really neat toys from later in the decade - some Gilbert YOLT dolls and a French volcano playset. Nothing surprises me about Bond toys anymore, everytime I think I know about everything something new pops up that I've never seen before.

I refuse to believe there'll never be a HT quality 1/6 Bond figure or line - everything gets made eventually. If they can make Reeve Superman, 1989 Batman and West Batman they will make Bond.

Turns out with a slight repaint the Medicom Cowboys heads is all kind of awesome...

For the head let it be know it does not come looking like this. I painted on a lot more tonality, repainted the white parts of the eyes to gray them up a bit, and put on some skin and beauty marks as well as just a bit of buffing to give the skin that sort of natural oil look. Im super pleased with this...

MORE PICS...

No way that is a Medi sculpt :lol

I know right :lol I have one too, I was blown away by the quality in hand, it's really heavy too. And a fantastic likeness and scale.

Though thinking about it I'm sure figure the head came from was an ultimate unison with enterbay, so they are probably responsible for the sculpt :lol

Doesn't surprise that the Medi sculpt is nice, many of their sculpts usually are. It's just the basic paint job that lets them down.

Nice word, Raymond (I mean, once you fixed the green nose). He's kinda over-tanned in the last pic though, in my opinion.

With a current RT score of 97% and proclamations that this could be the best James Bond film ever it's a shame that there is no real merch going into this and the customizers, bootleggers are also dropping the ball on this. Where's the new generic head sculpts? Where's the new suits designed to mimic that from the film when every other suit is available out there including some patterns and designs that are downright goofy ass.

Hopefully once it's out that will all change and we will see a surge of people finally jumping on the bandwagon and hopefully that means someone will be gunning to offer updated versions of connary, Moore Brosnan etc.

Great job Raymond, although I'd like to see some full length shots - does the head look a little small for the body or does it look okay?

Did you do the eyes? If so, wow.

Yup that was my fault, i did a few touch ups to it and couldn't get the mix the same but it's all fixed up as of tonight I didn't notice it until someone pointed it out in the other thread

really nice touch up to the nose Raymond :clap much better now

nope! this are from the Cowboys and Aliens figure that was just medicom. no enterbay involved this time.

why isnt it a good referance? its a photo of craig in full daylight from the latest bond film showing his dark complexion...

Nice repaint on this head. There are some things that bug me about this sculpt when compared to photos of Craig. Bridge of the nose looks off. Half way between the forehead and the ball of his nose it gets freakishly thin. Seems like his features fill up the overall area of his face to much. Ears need to stick out a little more and the crown of his head needs more volume. Since this is a licensed sculpt some of those areas may have been done to satisfy Craig and/or his reps. Also I believe this figure came with a hat which could explain the reduced proportions of the top of his head. A lot of people are digging that digital sculpt, but after seeing some nice paintjobs on it I don't care for it. The head looks too elongated from top to bottom. Craig seems to be a tough nut to crack. I liken him to Harrison Ford and William Shatner. You see a sculpt that you think looks really good, but when you start comparing it to photos, the sculpt falls apart. No doubt if Skyfall does good business at the box office you will see 5 to 10 attempts at sculpting Craig.

some really interesting points you make there and it;s precisely why I'm so obsessed with Craig heads. Because I think one is good and then one comes out and makes the other look so bizarrely inaccurate. I've owned a great many of them at first I thought the Loading toys was the best, then I went to Feng for about 3 seconds i liked the Roadshow then BBkill's i thought was infinitely better and now this one. And I'm sure and hoping (which is why i started this thread) that Skyfall will surge a sudden influx of Craig sculpts.

Somehow though this (Medicom) is the only one so far that I think feels like him, the iminime unprodunced one is probably a second or maybe even edges this one out and then after that I think comes BBKills.

Sean Ho's start shows some imminence of potential but has a long way to go.

I know some people called out that he looked too tan I agree that I think it's about 10-15 percent too tan but after scrutinizing the exact eye shade, hair shade (especially hair shade) and skin shade I'm leaning towards more browns and sands than yellows and reds in the hair, a good amount ofwhites in the blue of the eyes, more tan in the skin then you would expect as the ingredients to get it to feel right.

Also he tans a LOT for Bond, in some scenes in Casino Royale if he were not blonde and British you might even mistake his complexion for Hispanic or Italian. Also his hair looks like a different color all the time because it;s so fair, when he's outside in shadow or inside, looking at a still can be completely misleading think that's why sometimes it's hard to nail down how this guy looks.

I agree that along with Harrison Ford his might be the most difficult likeness to capture.
