Re: Han Solo (May 25th, 2018)

Ooooh! Whack-A-Porg.

Great choice of words my dear friend.

Re: Han Solo (May 25th, 2018)

I think it's safe to safe that TLJ will either be awesome or make us appreciate ROTJ very, very much....

Indiana Jones...Crystal Skull made me re-evaluate Temple of Doom. I managed to mentally filter Kate Capshaw's entire performance and what's left is better than I gave credit at the time. Harrison Ford acts and emotes! He's cool instead of smarmy. Indy has other aspects to his character. The practical effects are ILM's finest prior to the arrival of CGI. In some ways it's aged better than Last Crusade.

It always brightens my day just a tad to see such a cheerful Endoskeleton. I hate that robots have a bad reputation for being unemotional. Just look at that guy!

Re: Han Solo (May 25th, 2018)

Yeah, I don't get why people consider skeletons spooky and fear them. They look like really happy chaps.

Re: Han Solo (May 25th, 2018)

Damn I just noticed that I'm the first one who's about to be taken out by the smiling Endo-mallet. That's some pretty bad company to be in and still be singled out for punishment. Must be a prequel fan who's playing, lol.

I'd still lean toward ROTJ having ILM's best practical effects pre-Jurassic Park. Some of that stop-motion compositing (like when the ewoks are being dragging by the rope attached to the Scout Walker ankle) is still pretty mind-blowing to this day. Whereas TOD had the crappy raft blue screen, plane crash explosion, and a handful of dodgy "hanging on the cliff" scenes. I'm not knocking TOD as a whole since I love the film overall but I'd have to give the visuals to Jedi.

That really is a work of art jye and thanks for not putting in the annoying blonde movie critic female. I agree that the terminator mallet is awesome and would love to have it.
