See for me I see it this way.

Now remember I really do like/love RO.

But.

RO was predictable all fans expected everyone to die going in and Disney fulfilled that (easy) prediction because lo and behold everyone was killed off as expected. A sucky ending for the characters but not for us we ate that **** up.

Movie ends with message of hope.

TLJ everyone expected Snoke to be Plagueis the wise vampire and Rey’s lineage to be of significance AND Luke to be a hero of the republic.

Movie ends with message of hope.


Disney taking a pee on everyone’s predictions + Kennedy woman power t-shirt + not OT comfortable era did TLJ no favors.

Yeah I was braced for Hayden Anakin's ghost to show up and was blown away when it was ESB Yoda. I figured superhero Rey would inspire Luke to rejoin the fight not his old friends R2 and Yoda. I also assumed that both Luke and Snoke would survive until Episode IX, probably where they'd fight each other.

I actually didn't assume that Jyn would die. Obviously I knew they'd give a reason she wasn't in the OT but I thought they might allow for her to be off doing other things while the heroes were on Yavin, Hoth, etc. (plus I figured they'd want to possibly keep the door open for milking her character in other spin-off films.)

All these guys have charisma. They will be fun characters to follow.

Yeah I was braced for Hayden Anakin's ghost to show up and was blown away when it was ESB Yoda. I figured superhero Rey would inspire Luke to rejoin the fight not his old friends R2 and Yoda. I also assumed that both Luke and Snoke would survive until Episode IX, probably where they'd fight each other.

Perhaps sometimes expectations are best being met. There's still enjoyment to be had in seeing it unfold on the screen. Looking at the seriously divided response to TLJ - with the more extreme examples being downright hurt and distraught at what they've done - predictability might have been preferred here.

No kidding. With Hayden appearing in the TFA concept art *and* at Celebration I figured they were grooming us for his on screen return. Phew!

Yeah I definitely figured that Maz would be in it more than 30 seconds.

Rumour has it a trailer might be up at the NFL game tomorrow. Aching for some footage. I find the idea of Woody Harrelson in a Star Wars movie fantastic.

I loved RO. Every time I watch it I seem to like it more and more. I liked TFA. Every time I watch it I like it less and less.. For me RO is like 80% good 20% bad. TFA is like maybe 60% good 40% bad. TLJ is like 20% good 80% bad, and that's me being generous

I'm still struggling about whether or not I want to see Solo. The ONLY thing it does have going for it is the nostalgia of taking place around the time of the OT and seeing all the familiar stuff (cool ships & cool Stormtroopers, not the Ducktroopers and lame designs of the ST). But after TLJ it will be the 1st time I've never scene a SW movie opening night or weekend, since the OT in '77. I have no desire as of now for ep9 whatsoever....

I'm still not sure if Vader's presence in this movie is just rumors or confirmed. Some people told me it had been confirmed a while back.
Some kind of scenario where he is chasing Solo without knowing it's Solo (so they never actually meet until the OT).

I have to say that would multiply the appeal of this movie by 100 for me. Still not seeing it in theaters though.

Gotta say I love Han shooting at Vader in Empire. Just starts blasting.

Really hope HT gets around to Bespin Han and Lando this year. I know they're in the works but I hope they actually at least go up for pre-order soon.

My guess is we will get Jabba as the Villain and Solo will piss people off because the rouge Han will turn out saving people against his greedy nature....

That not Muh Han Solo...

He may even have a pure love who gets killed and turns him into a womanizer.

It’s gonna be a “shoot” show for all the people who see that agenda....

Yeah... TLJ has been fun, can't wait to see the sides and reasoning from those who hate and those who like Solo... Myself included... More fun times ahead!
