Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

It’s not, people don’t applaud at trailers unless they are level 10 neckbeards. Even then it’s cringe when it happens.

I can concur.....never seen it ....seen people get excited or whoop or something...
Stand up and applaud!?

Never....

It's a full movie and not just a trailer, but I think Khev said every screening of TLJ he attended (all sold out, even weeks in) people were standing up on seats whooping and applauding though...:monkey3

I’ve seen it only once in my life. It was while watching avengers during the 2nd weekend I believe.. the crowd was whooping and hollering and applauding throughout. It was quite an enjoyable experience for that kind of film. First and last time I ever was part of that however. But I’m in Vancouver and this is known to be a pretty low key place. I thought there’d be more whooping in the US

:lol

Because they were happy that the movie was over. :lol

I have heard them applaud after a film several times....

But not for a trailer....maybe I misunderstood....

LOTR was the biggest applause after a film....

PHantom Menace was the largest applause at the bogging of a film.....it was more like a group roar of excitement.....

The first time I ever heard applause in a cinema was for Star Trek Generations in 1994. And yet that film is pretty unpopular. I think I remember applause for Star Wars Episode I aswell. Perhaps it's a thing to applaud films that carry such great expectations, whether they live up to them or not. Some brave souls start clapping and then the rest start clapping out of a sense of relief that someone else enjoyed it or out of a sense of obligation.

Personally I still enjoy Star Trek Generations to this day

With Black Panther getting the headlines, it can only be a matter of time before we get this Star Wars Story...

Shelf IX for all I care. Give me this and the rumored Kenobi film! :lol

Speaking of applause the one and only film that it ever happened to me was at the end of Ratatouille of all things. It came out of nowhere but it was nice at the moment.

Most folks seem to like Black Panther...and after all the talk that it wouldn’t be any good...

Maybe there is hope for Solo....

Nah, there's no hope for this movie. There's no inspiration. No Coogler to actually wanna say something. No Ford [or Williams] to fill the seats.

Its quite literally one of the greatest examples of Hollywood shooting themselves in the foot. Infinity War and Deadpool 2 are going to butt**** this movie. It'll be the first ever SW flop (something that never should have happened to the franchise).

BP was a 10/10. I predict this will be laughable and land at a 5/10.

Saw the trailer on the big screen this weekend and that guy flying the falcon next to the furry guy is not Han Solo. He looks nothing like him. It's going to be hard getting past this.

You're a badass, bruh. Pat yourself on the back. You defeated me and my ancestors before me.

As you're watching and enjoying this steaming pile of dog **** via Kathleen Kennedy, just remember: you're a badass, who's not afraid to publicly love crap movies like this one and TLJ.

Man I’m just ribbing you. Settle down. It’s all good in the grayborhood. :lol

Still think you're a badass. If I loved TLJ, that love would be hidden in that safe from Inception.
