Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

:lol ... I know right.... I always figured one day I'd have the space/room to display him. Still hoping.. Maybe once my kids leave... I have another decade to hope and dream.

Kick them out already. :lol

I have a hard time keeping something boxed up, but that's because I have the reverse issue which is no place to store anything, so if it's not on display I just can't really have it. Or if I put it on display and it's too big I just am more likely to sell it. Selling big expensive items is annoying and stressful though.

Yeah, I've thought about it many times over to sell all the stuff I don't have displayed, which is probably like 70% of my collection. Originally I had a lot out as I had a bedroom that I used as an office and display room. My kids shared a room, but they are boy and girl twins, so once they got older and started school I lost my room to my son... Patiently waiting out the 20+ years (they are only 12) to have it back... :lol

This received zero applause before BP last night. JW2 got more applause than this garbage (which got none).

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

Nobody should ever applaud for a movie, EVER, unless cast and crew are present. Same goes for a trailer because that's even worse.

I hear this is more of a thing in the States though; is that true? I've never been in a Canadian theatre where people clap and cheer.

How did you see TPM before ROTJ? You child.

It's been so long ago that I actually don't remember which one I saw first. :lol

I remember hating TPM when I first saw it, mainly because of the CGI, and I haven't watched it again since. That was more or less my first exposure to Syfy channel-level CGI.

I'm 99% certain JW2 will be a better movie than this.

Whoa, can’t believe I missed SE V2 Jabba! A definite improvement. Was that Blu-ray-only?

I believe the effects for Jabba were updated for the 2004 DVD release. The same time they replaced the original version of the Emperor hologram scene from Empire Strikes Back with a new version, using Ian McDiarmid. Also the same release where they first replaced Sebastian Shaw from Return of the Jedi with Hayden Christinsen.

A polished turd is a definite improvement over a massive, smoldering regular turd and yet it is still a turd. [emoji38]

That's good to know! I guess there's some strange movie goers out there. :lol

this board proves that too. :lol

if it happens, it’s usualky like 2 guys who are just doing it to boast. “this is muh marvel muh star worz, no one understands it like me.”

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

There was little kid at my showing of BP who said “Chewy!” with much excitement when he popped up on screen. Remember, it’s for the little ones:wink1:
