Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

I really liked the Ewoks growing up and still do, I enjoyed the cartoon and my little sister had a Teddy bear named Wickett, those who hated them back in the day were the actual negative nancy minority that crazy Kathleen and Johnson wished were giving them crap these days, even if you count the Ewoks as "bad" ROTJ is still a solid and fun film something that hopefully Solo achieves.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

Amazing how blind some people are to the deeper heroic themes at play with Luke from confronting failure, selflessness in the face of peril, isolation and survival and sacrifice with purpose.

But instead you saw a wimp who didn’t even have the courage to commit suicide, suicide really!

No, it took massive courage NOT to commit suicide.

Wow is that a life lesson you hope to pass on to your kids one day.

“Kids I hope one day you have the real BALLS to kill yourselves, YES make me proud don’t be a WIMP!”

Oh yes your definition of what constitutes heroics is just so inspiring yeah Kathleen Kennedy is an idiot your arc for Luke would’ve been genius lol

I know it triggers you when people call your boss on her ******** but please don't put words on my mouth, I never called KK an idiot just crazy, in my book she is still a genius, Gods know that not in a million years I would be capable of making a career out of serving coffee to more talented individuals like she did. She is my hero and always will be.

Please elaborate on the deeply heroic themes of being a 60 year old emo who does nothing in some forgotten island while deliberately ignoring the parallels I mentioned Luke's and Obi Wan's lives have.

I love life and yet your portrayal of me belittling my imaginary children on the topic of self termination are way on point :lol When you are right you are right, bravo! :clap

Don’t get mad at me for using your own words I even bold highlighted them to make it a user friendly experience for you sheesh no gratitude.

Oh regarding TLJ.

I don’t know how about the title of the movie The Last Jedi!

Luke believed the force was bigger and more important than the chaos the Jedi/Sith order were causing he even said “It’s time for the Jedi to END!”

By the end of the movie he heroically traded in his crude matter with HUGE PURPOSE and said “I AM NOT THE LAST JEDI!” and instantly showed the resistance the true power of Luke Skywalker beyond any swing of a silly lightsaber.

Just like he won over Vader by throwing his lightsaber aside.

You looking for a heroic Luke just look at the title of the movie for starters!

Thank the maker you weren’t the general in charge of the allied forces at Normandy lol

In the situation you’re describing there would have been no general at Normandy

He would have been off on an irish island drinking titty milk saying ‘it’s time for the Allies to end’ :lol

And all the while there is still an enemy and he isn't sitting back, he's on the march. Kind of a bad time to say 'lets pack it in'.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

I gave you props and a heartly honest laugh and you call me mad? Talk about having a contrarian mindset! :cuckoo:

As others mention such approach is just pathetic and soft, an honest reflection of the director's weak personality. Luke is a hero, he is decided and purpose driven, don't blame us for not finding value over his abscentism and unmanly portrayal in TLJ, it just doesn't ressonate with most people's because even the pacifist approach to conflict resolution requires some degree of presence.

You don't let 90% of your troops be slaughtered only to show up at the last minute to save what's left and then expect to be called a hero. You get death threats and thousands of Wal-Mart aisles filled with unsellable plastic junk. :lol

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

I’m actually really looking forward to this.
Which is probably a bad omen for the movie.
:lol

dont bring walmart into this, they are a legit store (Specially online) i know the people that shop there are crazy, but their online service and customer service is the greatest ive ever experienced. they have great deals and they have free shipping to stores and they will replace anything that is damaged.
Walmart online is becoming better than amazon actually

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

Wal-Mart is my friend too! I was refering to how they still have merch from 2015 warming shelves as a result of the way the higher ups at Lucasfilm have handled the franchise, when the smiley face store can't sell something you know you are in a deep situation.

Anyways, Solo's latest trailer was awesome, watching Chewy kicking ass was refreshing, I hope he survives that train scene! :lol I'm cautiously optimistic at the moment.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

is there actually any word when the tickets go up for sale?

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

What if Luke is...... a clone? What if that wasn’t the real Luke but his brother duke. He thinks he’s luke and is force sensitive

Same.
Tho I only look at a fun space action movie with oldschool designs. :lol
SW are dead.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

Oh man I hope it becomes a thing that people explain why they are still going to SW movies even though they don’t like SW.

We’re in for some good, funny times.
