Hey, my last post is gone! :( Do people even know the etymology for the word robot? It's like I'm taking crazy pills I tell ya! :lol

Whatever, I'll wait and see how well this movie does with audiences. Lando, Chewy and Emilia Clarke are my selling points atm.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

Surprise surprise.

And that's despite Han staying home with the baby while Leia does politics. He can't do anything right. Leia scolds him. He gives the baby a gun, like any typical father would. He then contemplates leaving and rationalizes it by thinking Ben would be better off without him.

Another revelation. Lando never owned the Falcon. After 10 years (mind you), the real owner threatens to destroy Bespin if Landon doesn't give it back.

4 days after release, Solo figure prices slashed from $19.99-$5.00.

To the dollar stores and Ollie's they go. No one cares about dollar store Han Solo. No one is going to decorate their homes with dollar store Han Solo merchandise.

LEGO is still cool, sad about action figures though. I can't imagine being a child and not being into them. It's just weird to me.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

And what's the fascination with Legos?

I thought as kids grow older and more adult they like more and more realism. Legos seem to so 'young'. Maybe its the sense of uniformity for the newer, ever more OCD oriented minds of the next generation.

I'm telling you, autistic kids are just future people born too soon.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

I liked to construct cool **** with LEGO even tho I had action toys.
Always used my fantasy tho, didn't need no stinkin' rilizm.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

But kids just buy the pre-made set-ups now. There's no imagination -- just "build the Falcon", "build the Batmobile"... once they disassemble it, the pieces just remain in buckets. Maybe they build a wall for their next "toy" to break through.

I used to build my own Rebel and Imperial bases to use with the Galoob Micromachines. For some of them I'd actually incorporate the micromachine playsets - for example I built a lego base around the Stormtrooper head playset (the one that opened up into the detention block/trash compactor scenes). My friend at the time started doing it too and we used to compete on who could build the cooler base.

That seems like a much better way to play.

God, I forgot about these...

I think I had like 9 of them, 3 from each of the OT... every planet. I still have them somewhere.
