Emilia Clarke isn't offensive but I agree that putting her in a genre film is a pretty uninspired choice. Not as uninspired as if they'd picked Zoe Saldana, but close. But this movie will never be "canon" to me so no harm no foul no matter what they do.

Genisys's marketing was ****e anyway, Disney'll have a better marketing team for this movie no doubt.

If Clark were the biggest problem in Terminator:Genisys it might've been a decent film. Her performance was the least of it's flaws. Everyone - everyone - was ***** in that film including Ahnuld.

The reaction to that movie is very, very varied. No consensus on any part really. Except the 1984 recreation - most people seem to like that. But everything else is divided as hell.

Star Wars is popular in the present day. No-one (not even older fans) care for present day Terminator crap. Terminator is dead whilst Star Wars is big again.

I do like Emilia Clarke but I was really hoping for a non white, brunette female in Star Wars... we've already had Leia, Padme, Rey, Jyn and now whomever she's playing will most likely be the same.
I was really hoping Tessa Thompson would get the role. She's stunning on Westworld and I thought she would be a fun fit in a Han Solo adventure type film. I would have also been happy with Zoe Kravitz or Naomi Scott too.
