Don't be such a smart ass, it's ****ing annoying. I was being general and the two quotes I put up are not specifically about Lando. "Don't like it being forced down our throats" and "don't need to know sexual orientation" look up the post. Those comments have been made many times in this forum NOT about lando being pansexual.

Well I don't agree that a character's sexual orientation shouldn't be shown. Had they introduced a new character that was LGBTQ it would've been entirely appropriate, as long as that's not what defines the character. You get what I'm saying? Characterization and the story should be the priority. Not pandering to the SJW crowd. If there is a political message it should serve the story.

Yes agreed. Pandering to anyone isn't the answer and having all gay characters or all black characters doesn't make or break a movie. Now with what Star Wars we have seen in the new generation. It is LAUGHABLE that are pages and pages of people on here saying exactly what I quoted. Not saying anything close to where your coming from. And then to look back and see what the complaints about sjw takin. Over Star Wars and the evil KK ( literally learned about this whole narrative reading this forum I don't even know her name)!!!! It's just sad , cause a couple girl leads and a character who may be pansexual ??? Straight up sad. That is nothing in 4 movies, your precious Star Wars won't be ruined by that. "I'm staying away from Disney and Star Wars because of there agenda". Good stay away hahaha don't be in my movie theater.

I didn't enjoy tlj but for totally different reasons then seemingly everybody on here.

Most people meet new people every day of their lives. How many times does their sexual orientation ever arise. I must assume/hope that the 1st thing people don't think when meeting someone new is "I wonder if they are straight or LBGTQ.." That would be just sad. Who cares? It's their life. They are what they are or choose to be. It shouldn't be what defines them as a person.

The problem today is we are forced into thinking this way when watching characters on the big screen & small screen. It is almost forced upon us to be aware and define who these new characters are that we are watching. As if in some way that will make us better identify with them and determine whether we like them or not.

There were 6 Star Wars movies before the media and people started to discuss this topic. All starting with the Finn/Po Romance. Now we seem to have to deal with it in nearly every movie? What a shame. But I guess the whole reason is to try to reach new audiences. But sorry, Females who never had interest in scifi aren't gonna flock to the ST beause the force is female, and the LGBTQ community aren't gonna come running either cause Lando is pansexual.

Such a waste of effort.

Most normal people don't think in those terms, not even we do in here, it's THEM who think in those terms, which is why they make the changes to the characters they do.

THIS IS THE PROBLEM RIGHT HERE. Do you see what your saying ?? Of course you don't care or want to hear it because your probably straight and you like assuming everyone is and you don't care to hear about. This isn't about meeting people and saying hey I'm gay! This is about presenting characters on screen in a story. You sound so damn selfish. Sexual orientation arises in almost EVERY MOVIE. Duh , your just seeing it as a problem now because it's more diverse. And yes the media does blow everything out of proportion but I'm talking the movie for the movie. "First it was Poe and Finn". Yes Facebook questioned it but nah it was not addressed or shoved down anyone's throats in the movie.

The problem here is, we get straight men in SW but they don't look directly at the audience and say "hey I'm straight and that's special, this whole movie is special because I'm straight." That's how it feels with these new LGBQ SW characters to many people. If the movie isn't about his/their/her sexuality then why us, as an audience member, should we care?

Do they want to represent LGBQ as "special" people or equalize them like everyone else? Seems like the first is what they're going for.
