Had never heard of him but just googled him. I am surprised they've taken a character from old 'not canon' EU.

I'm far more excited for this than I was for Rogue One. I loved Rogue One but I just wasn't hyped for every detail in the run up to release.

Ok this announcement has made me a little more interested. I enjoyed Crispin's Han Solo trilogy and if this film follows the plot lines from his novels then I could like it.
