That looks like a case of "If everyone is special, then no one is special". Granted I have no idea who most of them are, I tuned out after Sonic & Knuckles.

These things tend to have diminishing returns. First one was good, better than expected. 2nd one was pretty forgettable (I frankly don't remember much at all about it). I suspect this one will be mediocre to bad but my daughter is a fan so I'm guessing I'll be there at the theaters to see for myself. I don't think I ever played the games with evil Sonic in them.

My youngest loves them. If they do have diminishing returns I'm gonna struggle with this new one after the last one.

I saw this on Friday, and it was pretty good. Family friendly, but that's to be expected from Sonic. It had a decent plot, with "the power of friendship" being an overplayed theme but I think it was done well. Fans of the 90s video games would enjoy it a lot, and it's probably the best movie that's currently showing on the big screen.

Needless to say, Keanu's voice acting was spectacular, and Shadow was edgy like the 4chan memes I saw from years ago.

I'd rate it 7/10.

It's better than both Romulus and Gladiator II (in terms of plot, production, overall cohesion of the story). I'll say that much.

I thought this was pretty average. Well made with good special effects, and Jim Carrey was quite good, going all out. But not much to it otherwise. I could barely remember anything from part 2 as I watched this one and suspect I'll think the same when I inevitably get dragged to see part 4. But I will say that an average kids movie isn't the worst thing in the world. This was about 1000x better than that horrible Garfield movie. Not as good as the bad guys or inside out 2. About on par with the second moana.
