I hope they show that ginger kid from youtube, that guy is so pissed at south park it's insane.

Its funny, but until last weeks episode I had completely forgotten about Mohammad actually being shown in the earlier episode.

So really, Parker and Stone are on borrowed time.

So my understanding is that last night's ep was censored by Comedy Central, including the 'what did we learn today' part at the end.

I think that was a joke, not something required

Well that's what I thought, but quoted from the website:

"After we delivered the show, and prior to broadcast, Comedy Central placed numerous additional bleeps throughout the episode. We do not have network approval to stream our original version of the show."

That's why I was under the impression it was censored.

Yea, it's tough to tell if it was a joke or not. I'm assuming that the bleeping of his name was done by CC, not MnT, and that the final bleeping was actually a joke - but it covered so much dialog that it seemed an odd joke too. Had they bleeped just Kyle and had the other characters all agreeing, it would have flowed a bit better. But the final line by Stan 'Yea' seemed to indicate that it was a joke.

I'm betting CC was the ones to go overboard about the use of the name though - that's just like them.

According to this E.Online article, the episode WAS censored in order to spinelessly cowtow to jihadist nutjobs;

It's interesting how Comedy Central didn't choose to censor similar items in the past, such as the character of Jesus being stabbed in the neck, bleeding out and hilariously dropping dead, and being addicted to internet porn. Or Buddah being depicted as a cocaine fiend. I can see where that might be offensive to a couple of people. But, I guess the chances of pissed off Christians or Buddhists blowing up their corporate headquarters are slightly less than that of Muslim whackos doing it. I applaud Parker and Stone for having the balls to pull no punches with satire that targets everyone. It's too bad the cowardly lapdogs at Comedy Central have no balls to speak of.

A statement from Trey Parker and Matt Stone;

"In the 14 years we've been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn't stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn't some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle's customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn't mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too. We'll be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we'll see what happens to it."

Gutless network jellyfish for the win.

I only saw part of the last episode... Cant believe Cartman is half ginger. I would if he hates half of himself now.

And Cartman's Mom has screwed every guy in South Park.

I love it how people felt that having Mohammad in a bear suit was offensive... even though they arent even Muslim.

So its okay to have Jesus killed by Kyle or beaten up by Satan or jokes about Scientology but no jokes about Muslims? Talk about being sensitive.

Why are they watching South Park to begin with?

Oh how I would love to say what I want to say, but I'd be banned bigtime I'm sure.

Aw man, I don't have cable and the South Park website was the only way I watched the new episodes. But of course, Comedy Central won't let them put last night's episode online so I'm SOL. :( :( :(
