There is the problem.... period.... I can't believe there are still people here that will make excuses for this guy when he is all kinds of polite, great guy, friendly etc etc ( vomit) while you are negotiating a deal with him.. he is more than happy to take your money... then he disappears... despicable ... and inexcusable... the "worth the wait" excuses are pathetic... when you lie to customers it completely overshadows any claim of talent or ability.. character (or lack of ) overshadows those issues...

By my count, hes now sold about 20 of his Indiana Jones jackets on ebay and at least 4 Batmans completely finished.

That was for money to ship and yet no ones gotten anything in about a month.

Its time to ask again. What the ???? is going on?

I paid for mine on 12/15/08.

I paid January 2nd 2009, so I've still got a couple of weeks to go before I hit the one year anniversary

it's all good.. i just hope i don't move in the next year...

I did move - two weeks ago from Denver to Seattle. I emailed my new address to Shawn and forwarded my mail, so hopefully it finds me. Didn't get a reply back though to confirm he has my new address.

I know that in time everyone has received their stuff from him eventually, and it hits a point where what else can you do but wait. So, still trying to be patient.

I have to agree with "mfisher" on this.
Does it usually take a year to receive custom orders? I don't know. I've never gone that route.
I've run across "mfisher" here and at the "Raven" and I never hear of these kinds of problems with him.
Quality is quality but waiting a year to get something is unacceptable. No communicion is unacceptable and selling through ebay before completing his outstanding orders is way out of line.
Good luck to everyone waiting though. I hope he comes through.

i know he sent us that update through here,
he has my money also he has the 2 michael myers heads i bought from him...
but it's been over 2 months maybe longer than that i think. i ordered early in 2009 .
if he is selling jackets on ebay.. then were getting screwed over...unless those are from people who canceled..either way...
it would be nice to be updated...
oh well.. you win some and you lose some..

Almost the same boat here...I paid Dec 15th 08. No jacket in my order, just a poseable whip and a pair of pants.

I moved a couple of months ago and have sent Shawn at least 4 requests to update my address but I can't get any response from him at all :dunno

I don't mind waiting but not responding or cimmunicate with people is really a shame.
Come on all we need is some news and upadtes.
I sent like 20mp and mail and never got any reply.

He came here and outlined his plan and said that the stuff sold on ebay is to get extra money so he'd be able to ship the other people's stuff out he owed here. Except that only happened once when he first started ebay with jackets, since that he's sold about 4 completed Batman and Maximus figures and 15 or so more Indy jackets. Thats all money that wasn't used to ship, and items that could have gone to people owed them here.

See that part kinda bugs me and haven't even been waiting nearly as long as some of the folks here. I think we're definitely due for an update.

What happened to the money he charged those people initially for shipping ?!?! I just don't get that explanation at all... Does anyone know what he actually does for a living ?

Actually his work are is custom figure. It's is company his business.

Clearly he spent that long ago.

This new guy who actually sells the stuff on ebay is supposed to be helping him, this guy is supposed to communicate with us, and put the stuff on ebay to leave Shawn free to work all the time. That obviously isn't working.

If this is all he does then there is absolutely NO excuse for any of this... here I am thinking that this guy has a real job and other obligations taking away from his workshop time.. if all he does "for a living" is custom figure work then this is a bigger outrage than I initially assumed... what a joke

pretty much same deal with this "assistent" of his. Gives you the "Hi I'm the friendliest customer service person in the world" vibe before he gets your money and then dissappears after he gets it.

One thing is customizers shouldn't ask for shipping until it's actually ready to be shipped.

So I decided to bug Shawn one more time...Not only did he respond, he gave me the USPS tracking number for my order! As far as I know he has never gone that far without actually delivering so..It's a Christmas miracle!

This whole eBay side business debacle is such a sham.

I tried bringing this up on the custom Indy thread but got nowhere *ahem* thenammagazine *ahem*

I've been waiting for a jacket and a whip since June and haven't had any return contact since he got my money.

I bought an 89' Batman from "foreverannoyed" (what an apt name) a few months ago and it took over two weeks to get the figure. His PR guy gave me the whole "sorry... 'excuse'... I'll rush it out." Even still, I felt like a cheat for receiving a full figure way ahead of people who have been waiting months and months and probably paid the same price as I did.

Custom or not, this shoddy customer service wouldn't fly anywhere else. I thought I was in the unpatient minority until I heard from everyone else here. I don't even want an update because it'll be the same song and dance. I just want my stuff. Is there nothing we as a group can do?

Guess what? It still don't belong in the Indy thread. Take your gripe about your little Batman back to the custom thread where it belongs. Continually smearing s**t elsewhere isn't gonna help your little situation. Your best bet would be to just file a fraud complaint with your CC company and take your business elsewhere. :lol

Hey Nam, have you ordered anything from Shawn?

:rolleyes::rolleyes: What difference does it make what I say? You're just trying to start s**t because of the Che thread and your inability to act mature about it (proof's in your posts there). Based on that, it's safe to say that whatever my response, it'll be followed up with more BS from you. If I say yes, you'll say I'm a liar just trying to justify my posts here. If I say no, you'll say I'm just starting s**t and have no right posting here. Bottom line, it's really none of your ****ing business is it? Given that, what I will say is I have an Indy with no jacket. So go harass someone else.
