I'm currently reworking the top of the head, so ignore the weird black hat I used to hide it. Other than that, this is the Ford head I'll be using for Deckard and Indy......

This is really starting to look like Ford, especially once you put on the hat. Looks great.

I'm still very interested in the Deckard project. But it seemed that when the ideas started to fly, Newt won the priority in the projects I have lined up here on the board. I hope to get back to Deckard soon.

That looks really good to me. I tried sculpting a Ford head for a 1/6th Han in Carbonite I'm making and mine looks like he belongs working the counter in the Quickie-Mart.

Ford is REALLY tough for some reason. You would think he'd be easy; usually the more distinctive features a person has the easier they are to capture. And Ford has plenty. I can imagine Han in carbonite would be even harder; capturing both Ford's likeness and that look of pain and fear. And for as many Ford sculpts as there are, there are just as many opinions about them:lol He also seems to be one of the few actors that requires a different head for every character played. A testiment to Ford's acting chops? Maybe. I've heard people say, "That's a good Indy, but it's just not Deckard/Han". Weird. It's the same guy, in movies made only a couple years apart. Somehow, though it does make a difference.

The one pictured above is one my newer ones, and seems to be the prevailing favorite here. But I used it on a couple Indy figures on eBay and three guys actually took the time to write and tell me how bad it sucked!:lol Now, I've done a lot of Ford sculpts over the years; some good and some not. But no one had ever bothered to take the time in an email to tell me how bad any of them sucked. And I thought this was one of my better ones, too. :banghead I'm guilty of that, too. I've never seen a Ford sculpt I was 100% in love with no matter who did it. And there have been some incredibly talented people that have done it.

Tell them to send it back. I am prepared to make the sacrifice and take one of those off their hands.:D

Good to know you're still on it.
Would you be selling only complete figures, just headsculpts or also the clothing aside?
I really like your shirt...

This may be a silly question, Shawn, but can I ask why you make so many different versions of Harrison Ford instead of finding an Indy (or whatever) that you like and sticking with it?

icruise,
Obsession, I suppose. Indy is my all-time favorite character, hands down. He has been since I was 8. I keep doing Ford heads because I haven't yet created the EXACT head that I want yet. I've done some that were really good, I think and some that weren't but I haven't done my idea of the ultimate head yet. No one has. With most sculpts/figures you reach a point where you think, "Well, that's as good as it can be". With Indy I have the attitude that he's as good as he can, for now. :lol

The Deckard costume? No, sorry. I'm only doing that for Newt because we're having trouble picking one universal body and some of the guys have one already they want to use.

Hey, guys. I haven't put together a costume yet, but here's the head. Haven't done a version with the right haircut yet, should have that done next week.
