Only one episode to go and Tullius is going to get it. He will get blamed for the wine even though we know he didn't do it and Batiatus and Lucretia will get their revenge. Still curious to see Crixus beat Ashur. Ashur is such a b@stard. The "sword to the eyeball" scene was over the top! Can't wait for the finale next week. Good stuff.

From the previews it looks like the opening of the new arena pits Lutus vs Lutus.....From B&S, I assume Ashur gets in Crixus's way during the big battle and that's how Crixus 'cripples' Ashur.
I loved Lucretia's reply to the elder Batiatus when he said she was a serpent....NO, I'M WORSE.

This prequel has been very, very good. But it still lacks a major star like Spartacus was in season 1. I like the character of Gannicus a lot but they just didn't focus on him like they should have imo. I guess you can only do so much in a 6 part show. I just rewatched the last two episodes of season 1 and man I'm going to miss Andy Whitfield.

Oh and they have done a great job with the landscape of Capua in this prequel. In the first season you couldn't really see much topography but in this show they have really stepped it up. Can't wait to see what they do in Season 2.

Awesome finale!!!!! Did not expect gannicus to survive,but it was a welcome surprise. Maybe the producers feel they are gonna need extra "star" power now that andy is not coming back. I for one liked gannicus character and will like to see him in next seasons show!!!!

They had a lot of business to take care of in that final episode, and they did it brilliantly. I honestly wasn't that excited for season 2 of Blood and Sand when we found out that Andy wouldn't be able to return, but Gods of the Arena was so damn good, I'm convinced now that they can make it work.
Camelot looks like it's gonna be pretty damn good as well.

My only small complaint is that they never built up the disdain that Crixus had for Ashur. Ashur did nothing to Crixus to warrant such hatred. In fact it was the other way around.

I think the point was, Crixus didn't give two ____s about Ashur he just wanted to kill Gannicus and Asher was going to be in his way. I don't think there was really any built up needed.

Great finale!... I absolutely have to pick this up when it's released on DVD to go along with the first season... I can't wait for Season 2 now (shame that the original Spartacus had to be recast).
