I watched it today and thought it was good, but not great. I think they are setting things up for the last 3 eps. But we did get to see the beginning of the rise of Crixus. The show continues to push the limits with the 3 way orgies. Jaime Murray has never looked finer.

I just have to chime in here and say that I started watching Spartacus Blood and Sand a few weeks ago and it is badass!! I don't want to read through the thread for fear of spoilers, but wow... I was not expecting it to be this entertaining.

I just finished the episode "Whore"

Now I NEED a figure of Peter Mensah as Doctore. He is such a badass! After seeing him in Spartacus, you can see that he was totally under used in 300.

Yes you're very correct about this. He also played a badass in Jason X, but since the movie was crap I guess nobody remembers him in it.

Is the movie worth checking out again just for his performance? Agreed, pretty crappy movie.

BTW, I find myself saying "Jupiter's c*ck" in my head all the time now. For some reason I love that expression.

No, definitely not. But it is funny to see him in the movie. If it's on cable or netflix streaming go for it, but I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it.

Crixus becoming champion
Doctore's wife's death
Elder Batiatus's death
Ashur's leg injury
Opening of the new arena
Death of the other lutus owners
and a lot more, lol.

Well it is the ones that we don't know. Some people could have been freed or left the city. The thought they would do that with Gaia potentially but clearly not.

With only 2 episodes left, there's a lot to cram into them:

Gannicus's death
Crixus becoming champion
Doctore's wife's death
Elder Batiatus's death
Ashur's leg injury
Opening of the new arena

These last 2 eps promise to be really good. I cannot wait for Batiatus and Lucretia to get revenge on those two blonde guys (I forget their names). I hope their deaths are satisfyingly painful. We also need to see how Solonius turns on Batiatus. Who doesn't love to hate Ashur? What a b@stard! Selling his fellow countryman out to be raped.

I hope Batiatus doesn't have a hand in his father's death. Hopefully it is natural causes.

I also get the feeling that Doctore's wife is going to kill herself because of the guilt of sleeping with Gannicus.

Looking forward to how this all ends and then the year long wait for season 2 begins.
