Though that is a noble endeavor in and of itself.
Saw Spartacus on Encore this weekend. It was OK. Gladiator knock-off without the acting talent. Lots of nudity. The blood-splatters were ridiculous.

Much to my surprise I'm really enjoying it as well. It has improved dramatically since that first episode, and they've toned down the silly video game blood geyser effects.

The **** on you to suggest such a thing! Haha just kidding. Ever since I started watching this all other shows seem to pale in comparison. None of them have the visceral violence, sexuality and tense unpredictability of Spartacus.
It has the best lines, I swear. After the first episode I was hooked, but I did think some of it was pretty lame. Since then, the show improved remarkably. One of the few programs that isn't afraid to kill off main characters. It actually makes you scared every time someone gets in a fight.

This show only just started here in the Netherlands last Sunday. They aired the first 2 eps and I think it was great. Visually it's heavily influenced by 300, but I didn't find that to be a bad thing. I liked the extreme over the top bloodflow they kept using in fights... Sure, it's not realistic but it fitted the overall style.
I'll definitely keep watching this show!!

Indeed. I cringed a little bit. I really like this show, but with the long list of others I'm trying to keep up with I always end up watching this almost before the next week's episode.

I'm still not sure where they'll go with the show now that Spartacus' wife is dead.
