Just got home - really didn't enjoy it. It's slow and boring in many parts. Its got some cliched Bond moments that I thought the Craig era had got rid of - I was wrong.

I enjoyed my KFC more that I had afterwards.

I agree with a lot of what you said, Lou. The pacing does feel a little odd in casino royale at the end. However it doesn't take anything away from the film for me.

Quantom gets better each time I watch it, especially now as it is tied into spectre, as others have mentioned.

For me, not having seen spectre, Craig's best bond is casino royale, followed by skyfall then Quantom in last. But I'd say all of his films are all good to great. Which is pretty damn good.

That'd be my breakdown as well. And I agree all of his movies are good to great. I'm pumped to see this one. I've decided to stick with IMAX on Saturday afternoon.

While it is better, unfortunately that wouldn't take much, i'm also not enamored by her new song like most seem to be.

Her face got much cuter though. :lol

Smart marketing by her record company releasing her new song right around a new Bond movie to capitalize on her Skyfall Oscar win though.

That flip phone has taken the world by storm! :lol

That’s too bad, Jokes & Bats. I was going to say before that the Craigs have been consistently strong—maybe not perfect, but none of them have been near terrible.

This movie is already an exciting polarizing entity.

Some absolutely hate it with all their passion while others absolutely love it with all their passion!

Let the battles begin!

I can't wait! Catching up on Quantum before I see it next week, and really looking forward to it! :)

For anyone only interested in the spoilers: (you have been warned!)

The plot revolves around Bond watching a video from Judi Dench's M that she made before she died asking him to kill someone.
He eventually uncovers that SPECTRE is behind all of the previous villains in all the Craig films - they show pictures of Le Chiffre, Green and Silva. Mr White used to be part of the group but left - he tells Bond to find and protect his daughter (Lea Seydoux) just before he uses Bond's PPK to shoot himself.

Christopher Waltz IS Blofeld but we all knew that and he gets his scar on his eye and cheek from an explosion in the film. There's even a white fluffy cat. His plan is to take over MI6 with his own computerised version of spying. SPECTRE manipulate world events to their own advantage.

Monica Belluci is in one scene.

Blofeld tortures bond by drilling into his head.

It's not as good as Skyfall and suffers from some seriously slow parts.

What a disappointing movie. Apart from the opening sequence there is nothing exciting in here. It plods along at snails pace, the plot is very thin, at no point is there any sense of urgency or danger. It lacks a proper villain. Waltz just does his usual shtick and is severly underused. Once again they used the whole Bond goes rogue stuff that they've been doing since Die Another Day. The female character is seriously underdeveloped, which makes a particular scene later in the movie fall compeletly flat. The henchman guy that was so touted as a return to the old films is totally forgetable. He could have been replaced by any other generic thug and it would make no difference. The score by Newman is overbearing, drowning out the dialog and sound effects plus it sounds like some rejected Hans Zimmer demo tape.
I don't remember ever walking out of a Bond movie completely bored, but this was the case here sadly. Craig's weakest outing.
