I am so psyched for this movie ! In my opinion it has the potential to be the best new Star Wars movie since the OT. I was a bit disappointed with TFA. Gareth Edwards comment about "if you don't have the balls to do anything new, what are you bringing to the table", was so spot on.

If it is good, I could be in for all the HT figures, the costumes and look is so Star Wars !

We may need to wait until September by the look of this article.

I thought Episode VII was complete *** but this looks really really good. I hope it's as good as the original trilogy

I'd love to see something which stands alone from the OT to, as much as I love it.

I'm really getting bored of the - small band of rag tag rebels taking on big bad empire story. It was great to begin with but holy cow have they rung it dry. I was really hopping TFA would offer up some new, interesting galactic dynamic, but no, just small band of rebels vs empire 2.0. And then there's Rouge One, the Rebels tv series and it goes on and on…and now I am beginning to fear that disney is going to reduce the star wars franchise to this single premise and not let it evolve or expand into the galaxy of possible conflicts and stories that it could be. The Eu may have ended up a complete mess but at least there were some authors, artists, and game designers trying to bring something different to the franchise.

The up side to all this though is the resurgence of awesome merchandise. Silver lining to every cloud I guess.

I know what you mean. Rogue One is just a cool story though and to still be able to get James Earl Jones for Vader is a good choice for now before he is too old. Perhaps the rumoured underground level 1313 concept will be more in line with something new. If they mix that up with some bounty hunter action then that has a lot of potential !!

Theoretically the Han Solo and potential Obi Wan movie will also get away from the David vs Goliath scenario too.

Just so long as they keep that "lived in universe" look. That's what makes the characters and Hot Toys figures cool and interesting to me.

I think Disney does have things set up will though with Story Group etc.

Give me a film about Obi Wan's adventures during the interim period between ROTS and ANH with Ewan in the role again. Just do that. Give that man a chance to really play Obi Wan and not have to take care of Ani for two films.

This looks good too, though. Unique would be an accurate term. But I would rather see more history of characters we know.

Yep. MacGregor is also roughly the right age as well. I think that's a given. But it'll be a bit of waiting. First Rogue one, then Ep8, then Han Solo, then Ep9 then Obi Wan. Unless they decide to do more than 2 a year.

Marvel is doing more than 2 a year now, so why can't Disney ? Perhaps theyre waiting to get the first non saga movie out, and then they'll amp it up ! I hope so !

I liked VII - but then, I'm not sure if I was just happy to not walk away from the Cinema feeling the same way I did after the JarJarBinks and Anakin brat nonsense.

One thing the star wars reboot has been good at is keeping secrets. Whether they are worth keeping or not. I knew the whole plot of every prequel film before it came out in cinema. EP VII no clue what was going to happen!! Okay we all know the plot of rogue one is obvious but there are still massive secrets!

I remember early Rogue One rumors involving Boba Fett & Cad Bane and unfortunately, those have died down. That would've been incredible.

If they do it in this movie, it will be seem every time Vader has an kind of a problem he goes running to Fett & Co.

That's not accurate. Vader hired bounty hunters not to find rebels, but to to track down Millenium Falcon specifically. Because of Luke. He was searching for that "skilled pilot" since he blew up the Death Star.

They were announced on Force Friday. So probably not until late September if they follow suit.
