HAHAHAHA I heard we all have a little of Dorg in us :horror:panic:

As for the hair and beard makeover on your headcast, Oh YES now that is the way to go. Great job on the sculpting mate.

I love the facial hair, looks great.
Nice ARF helmet, BTW. :)
He turned out great.

I have plans drawn out for an AT-ST in 1/6, but just have not had time to bust out a prototype.

SPEEDY!! The Arf looks fantastic! Love those guys one of my favorite buckets for the clone wars. And the Hair Beard sculpt looks perfect. Is that sculpy you used? And recover on the Rex head by the way. BRILLIANT!

ARF's are one of my fav's too, haha thanks, yeah its Sculpy, I was using FIMO before so I picked up some Sculpy to try it out I like it just a tad soft, but it works real good I can manage the soft tho. :)

@Force28x, Haha Thanks man but its your hard work that made it happen :)

@big guy, Yeah I was looking at my hasbro Jango head and was like "hmmm I'll try that" then I was like "he needs a goat" :lol

@Dorg, yeah I was had to do the Goatie, its model'd after my goat I had a few years back

I think he looked better unpainted :lol need to "brush" up on my paintint skills :(

Anyone know what kind or name of a Resin brand that makes the cast more like the softer SSC rex head material? you kow like easy to cut and stuff. anyways if you do let me know, thanks.

You need a resin from the Shore A scale instead of Shore D.
Most poly resin is 70-75D.
I think modern action figures are 60-62D, with a little give.
Tire tread is around 70A, for comparison.
AeroMarine products on eBay has a black 75A resin that might work better, and Smooth-On has several in between durometers.
Here's a useful chart https://www.plasticsintl.com/polyhardness.htm

Spend some time at brickintheyard.com, they have a ton of material, good shipping, and are great people to work with.

I hope that helps.

Alumilite Flex-80, but be warned...it's a little more resistant to paint. Not un-doable, as my TPM Obi-Wan is cast in it, but you have to make sure it is cleaned and primed well.

Thanks for the tip Unsung :) for sure need to pick some up :hi5:

I went and checked their site today and they had a few more options in the Flex series, I ordered some Flex -60 and some dye to go with it. I'll post results next week, as I plan to cast the new run of Obi-Wan heads in it. May be great for hands too. Probably hands would be better in the 70 or 80 but I'm going to give it a shot.

I finally got the boots in I ordered and they were like 3/4 inches to tall, so.... I cut um, then sprayed them. just need to paint them now more like the color of the knee pads and need to get some plasicard stuff to finish them up. but here where they stand right now, the cutting you see to them wont be seen after the plasticard.
