Compared to the original I know now why that Hasbro one bothers me: It's the thickness of the material.
The dome is okay after I painted it glossy, but the curved wall (see here for reference) is much thinner and same is for the face plate (the eye part).
If that would be half the thickness, I think it would look much more elegant, not?

Right now im trying to work out the pauldron they use it's given me troubles but whats the fun in it being easy right ??

It's funny to see the Snowtrooper have evolved from those multicolour armours of the Prequel forces to the white ESB ones to fit the battle snowy environment and on the other side see the camouflaged ARJ Trooper to become the shiny white armour of the ROTJ Scout Trooper ... STRANGE, NOT?!

BTW, if I'll ever start on something NONE-OT, it shall be Bacara. He's more awesome to me than any other clone!

I think not having to worry about great enemies (the Jedi) anymore they had no need to hide or take cover, just look shiney lol. shiny is intimidating right?? lol

OT, prequals, clone wars, books.... it's all Star Wars to me

I'm not sure I understand the separation between any of them and I've been a die hard fan since 1977 and I still dont get it I just love it all

Hey mark I am apart of that forum......well I was anyway I have a1:1 GM helmet that I did I need to rework it again as the cowel came off from moving but speedy if you are looking for reference pics they have a ton on there its the 53rd attack battalion forum hope it helps. And if your making a GM I really can't wait to see this I LOVE the GM's.

Hey guys gonna be taking an unexpected break for next few days, Wife's in USAF and is deploying out to the middle east on Sunday (we found out yesterday) so we gonna cram in Mom time for the few days we got her here for, anyways should be back sometime next week with some updates.

Great shots of a Galactic Marine and yes TheGent it is strange how they futurized the colours on the GM and Biker Scout. Maybe the Emperor has a WHITENING service

Update Project Galactic Marine:

Well I'm back at it, and I think Ive made some Progress after a stop at hobby lobby and picking up some varieties of leather scraps. the belt still needs the new pouches, new coat of grey to the pants, boots (those are just temp boots), the Kama needs dying (i think, i may leave it) lots of filling well hell he aint even close lol, but heres what i got so far

Oh yes it certainly is looking the part even though it`s unfinished. This is going to be aces.

That Galactic Marine is looking good so far. I cant decide whether or not to do a second Hoth trooper or a Galactic Marine. Im going to see how yours turns out before I decide.

New Update Pic on the GM, painted hand armor, added Belt pouches I made out of Fimo modelling stuff, added the elastic to the belt with a nice little loop i found in my bits box, painted the Kama, but after 3 coats I couldnt get it darker than it is so I'm gonna go with it, if you look at the pics it was way off in color now its more in tune with the armor color.still need my boots to come in and some other stuff to do on him aswell. heres the pic.

new pic fixed somthing that was bothering me, the facemask is suposed to go right up to the goggles and it was going under, I know the goggle shape is wrong but for this build its gonna have to stay maybe I'll revisit the goggle later. but with the mask up to the goggles now I think it looks better.
