2 was a bit of a disappointment for me thanks to the humanizing of Doc Ock so I'm hoping this one makes up for it, and it looks like it will. I swear if Sandman sacrifices himself to save the city I'm gonna burn down the theater.

I thought the trailer looked great. I agree with Gruson though, much og the CG looked rough. I think Venon will show up in the final momemts of the film to set of SM4. Which is fin with me. I just hope if and when they do 4 that the whole cast sings back on for it. I know Tobey has been a big ??? and I dont want to see another Spidey. Anyway, cant wait to see it!

I think there will be quite a bit of Venom actually, Superhero Hype a couple weeks ago had up leaked pictures of the prototype action figures for Sandman and Venom. Since then they had to take them down. The Venom looked pretty much like Venom from the comics, but the spider on his chest was a tad different.

Still can't get over EXTREME SPORTS Harry, but I am trying to be open-minded.

I think this is only the start of harry's outfit/goblin look.(if you catch my drift.(SM4)

Anyways i love the blades on it and the knife he wields.
I'm kinda glad they didn't show venom save him for the movie sam..gonna be great.

the burglar(that killed ben parker) worked for Marko/sandman and was supposed to bring him the money etc. etc. etc.

so it looks like the police may have it kinda messed up.(guess we'll have to wait and see.

Thanks for clearing that up. That was the only part that left a yucky taste in my mouth after seeing the trailer.

I loved it.... And I think the strategy is an interesting one... The average audience member and movie fan doesn't know the history of Spider-Man. They have no idea who Venom is and the trailers are doing a wonderful job of hiding that fact. Who knows, this could be a big mind-F***

They could be showing us Sandman stuff and end up having him only be the setup for the big showdown with Venom. And when that happens... they could have it end in a huge cliffhanger involving Mary Jane (Which Venom has often done dispicable things to), leaving us all salivating for more and setting up the final film.

Anything past a fourth film would just be stretching it a bit thin I think. And it would be a nightmare to keep the cast. I see it ending then for at least a decade only to come back with a different actor so that we all can compare him and his film to the old ones with nostalgic eyes...

It will be like Superman eventually or Batman... I have foreseen it... :emperor

i agree. most kids and moviegoers dont know the story of the comic characters. i finally watched this trailer and its awesome. the Harry/ Goblin thing might get a little cheesy, but at least they are trying something new with the costume. i was really hoping for something more traditional with his costume though.

Me too. Me and my son watched the trailer last night and he doesn't understand that it won't be out until summer and he woke up this morning asking me if we were going to see it today.
