That's good news but I don't think Sam Raimi will keep directing the Spider-Man franchise. As for Tobey Maguire, I guess he'll be too old and I wouldn't mind seeing another actor as Peter Parker.

I hope they get back some of the cast for SM4 even if it's only Rosemary Harris and JK Simmons, as I think we still need some continuity between films and Maguire lasting until Spider-Man 4 would be nice.

Although I don't think it's essential by any means and perhaps with a trilogy under his belt, it might be time for Raimi to step aside and see what vision the next director can bring to the next trilogy.

I'd like to see Gwen Stacy a bit more in part 4. As for Rosemary Harris and JK Simmons, well the movie can't be done without them. It's true that an other director (maybe someone that's more interested in the 90's Spidey comics) would be a good thing.

If JK Simmons isnt back...I kinda think I'd be dissuaded from seeing Spidey 4. I can see no one else as Jameson. It's like he stepped off the comic page and onto the screen. Rosemary Harris is also a big part.. but if need be Aunt May COULD (though I wouldnt like it) be killed off.

I think we need more Venom, and Carnage. Make them fight each other, than get Conners (Lizard) in for a more up front personal story with Pete. Buuuuut 3 villains hurt 3, so maybe cut it to 2.

I like how he says find someone whop cares what the fans think. Venom was in because of the fans! (and Avi Arad, he seems to push on a lot of crappy decisions) And I gotta love how people don't like Tobey because of stuff in the script. It wouldn't have mattered who played Spidey/Parker.

Black Cat and/or Gwen are great fillers in the next film if Dunst doesn't come back (and I sincerely hope she doesn't) Felicia gave the interesting love triangle of being in love with Spider-Man but bored with Peter Parker. Towards the end of their relationship she didn't want Peter to take off the mask. It was a weird relationship but would be fresh to see on screen. Gwen just looked hot....

I could go with that IF they took MJ out of the next one, I would be all for having BC in it!
But having 3 of them together in one movie, I don't think Parker would know what to do.

Is anyone else almost certain that Norman will be back in one of these new ones?I mean it's not like they're just gonna continue and let Oscorp be just sitting their in the background..who's gonna run it the butler lol?Being that the green goblin is perhaps peters worst foe i think we'll see the goblin return with MASS hatred for spiderman in oh i'd say end of 5 into all of 6.(cause other baddies are needed first)But it has to be dafoe that does him.

Or do you think he's gone for good?(i for one would love to see dafoe come back in like 6 or something and that would be what like 6-9+ years from now?And it would all be fresh to us again)Or do you think he'd be getting too old?

I think it would be cool. Explaining how he came back would be difficult for the average fan to buy though. I mean returning from the dead is pretty common in comic books but I think most people associate it with soap operas. But I could be wrong. Me, I'm all for it. But then I'll prolly go see any Spider-Man movie regardless of the villain.

It's an easy set up. Norman had a special built coffin, with life support, and he was never really dead, just hurt and all this time was brain washing Harry through it. But now that Harry's dead, Normans mad as hell....AND BACK! Comics= NO ONE DIES!
