If they get back to the comic book feel of the first movie with a real villain, then I'll get excited. No more of these damn touchy, feely bad guys. And for goodness sake, let Spidey have a sense of humor. They haven't gotten that aspect right in any of the movies, though they came closest in the first.

Couldn't agree more.

SM3 was just a train wreck. :(

I actually thought that Sandman was great through the first half of the movie but as soon as Venom shows up the movie tanked.

The Lizard would be a great choice for the villain. I still think Kraven would make an outstanding movie villain.

If I may I love THE LIZARD! :banana Ever since I had the old Mego figure from the ummm '70's... But it would be great to have the Lizard in Spidey 4, and maybe bring Kraven in to hunt the creature. But maybe that would be too many villains again. Sorry novice thinking outloud again...:peace:D

My main wish in Spidey 4/5 is that he actually takes on a vicious, evil villain. Since Green Goblin it's been "bad guys w/ hearts of gold".

Of all the things that were horribly bad about Spiderman 3, one of the worst for me was Peter Parker & Sandman crying to one another like schoolgirls at the end.

i really think they should gather all the villians around the camp fire, while passing around a bottle of jd's talking about how much of a scank mary jane is for playing mind games with spidey.
then fade out with all of them closing in a group hug and crying.:banana:banana

Unless Raimi has a change of heart, you're not very far off.

I think a Kingpin character in the movies would work WELL!

Absolutely. And with the vast amount of suckage caused by Daredevil---they could start all over again and make him good.

And white.

Hey that goes both ways. I wouldn't want a white Blade.

i dont know how they are going to develop spiderman's character anymore. i mean they have covered most of the developing (accepting responsibility, complaining about responsibilities, torn between lovers and friends, etc). what is left to do to further parker's character? the only thing i can think of is aunt may passing away and telling him she knows or something along those lines like the famous scene in the comics with them on the skyscraper, killing off captain stacy, or making mary jane go away like in the cartoon series

MJ and Peter's marriage. That was my personal favorite era in the comics anyway.

Isn't it it obvious? They've been using ridiculous prosthetics on Mary Jane for each movie to show the growth of whatever monster is waiting to burst out of her pumpkin sized head....right?

I'll be happy to see the Lizard. Plus, I think they should throw Black Cat in there and introduce Carnage at the end. I mean the VERY end, like last minute of the movie. We don't need another cramped SM movie.
Please, no Kraven! I'm not fond of guys in leopard skin.

leopard skin:lol::rotfl but maybe they could do an exclusive of black cat with leopard suit, at least i think no one would object to that.

I would love to see carnage at some point. (but it would need a whole film dedicated just to him)

Lizard seems fine. But what about Mysterio? Kingpin? Chameleon ETC.

Mysterio has always been an underrated villain IMHO, they could really go nuts with that villain and I'd be interested to see if Sony/Columbia would redesign the iconic costume as they did with all the others.

Carnage probably isn't gonna happen. In reality they screw the pooch on that one. Brock needs to go to jail to meet Cletus Kasady and the suit needs to "birth" the Carnage symbiote. Given that in Spider-Man 3 they effectively "killed" Venom for the time being until he is rebooted in his own film he is dead and so is the symbiote. They could use the Ultimates version and get away with it but its still a longshot.

Chameleon is a weak character for me, his "talent" can be emulated by a handful of more interesting Spidey Rogues.

As for Kingpin remember we got Kingpin already in the Marvel Universe via 20th Century Fox's Daredevil as Michael Clarke Duncan. That means that Fox owns the rights to the characters and if you are not going to see crossovers in Marvel Studios from the other companies I can guarantee you that you won't see them in Sony/Fox films.

They could use the bit of the symbiote that Connors has to make Carnage.

I just watched Lizard on the Amazing Spiderman cartoon the other day on JetEx, he's wearing on me as the next villain, idk I think like Shocker more!

edit: it would b hard to make a cool looking realistic Shocker though

yeah the idea of carnage out of the conner's symbiote would sound good but they probably aren't have two similar villains in a row.
