The last great comic book movie that wasn't a cartoon was The Winter Soldier 2014.

I love Infinity War, but it was very much a cartoon, from Tony Stark's wondertech armor to all the literally animated villains.

I did forget about this movie. I really like it, but I'm not sure it is great. Like endlessly watchable and quotable and all that.
I just put "great" and "endlessly rewatchable and quotable" into two different categories. Otherwise I'd be forced to declare AOTC great with as many times as I've watched and quoted that stupid movie, lol.

Real live stunt people doing their job will always be more thrilling than cgi anything. Always.

I thought it was just ok 😕. I mean like I’ll be honest I love captain America but during that time I was started to get annoyed at the mcu for replacing a list heavy hitters because they didn’t have the rights. That inhumans push will always rub me the wrong way about marvel. Maybe I need to watch it again but civil war is my fav cap movie even tho it’s avengers 2.5

Really really enjoyed this but I didn't realize it was a part one and I was wondering how they were going to wrap all of that up when we were already 2 hours in lol. Also, I am pretty much locked in as Spider Dad for Halloween.

Yeah, they initially announced it as part 1 as I recall, but when that wasn't there on the posters I thought they changed their mind. Around the 2 hour mark it also was very clear to me they weren't going to wrap this up in one movie. My kids were annoyed with that.
