not sure what was expected of the comic venom? It is what it was intended to portray. You cant really get very far with just an all black character with white highlights...

The Comic Venom was very accurate. In fact it was one of the most accurate portrayals done to this character. Most people are aware of the sharp teeth, snarling Venom that we love to have pictured in our mind's eye but what most aren't aware of is that Mark Bagley really started drawing him like that. McFarlane's Venom wasn't really feral more of a brooding, cynical and pompous character. The Symbiote thought it was better than Spidey, Brock felt he was better than Parker and so things went from there. MacFarlane's Venom usually smiled and grin while fighting Spidey because he was winning most of time and reassuring himself of his "superiority". Had they stuck a Bagleyesque head on that Venom it wouldn't have fit. Carnage on the other hand was a Bagley inspired that still didn't exactly capture it although that was a great figure indeed.


That Mailaway is a no question although I will probably pose him as Peter and not Peter revealing Symbiote....

The good thing about this figure is that it shows that Medicom learns from each release. The SR Clark Kent figure did not come with the suit underneath while Pete does. Learning curve at its best. :chew :chew

Regular Spidey is Meh.

thot i heard somewhere that sideshow claims that regular spidey gonna have the webbin changed to a silvery color??hmmm ..actually they don look much different from the first proto pics and the pics from the toy fair..

classic example of what u see is what u get!!keke..so far only them proto pics and toy fest pics were shown to people..and they all depict NO SILVER WEBBING..some of the guys might be affected by that comment made by sideshow abt the webbin changing colors and kept their orders cos of that

Yeah the red one was disappointing, especially after we all expected them to put the webbing right and make it movie accurate.

I'm not too fussed though as I only ordered the Symbiote and Venom and this will give me more funds to buy Peter Parker.

I kinda wish the Parker figure had come with the red suit under the costume, maybe Medi could do a variant of the mailaway
