Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

I'm surprised Hot Toys hasn't revealed Spider-Man yet now that movie opened.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

It might not be ready to reveal.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

C'mon HT. Stop messing around and reveal Spidey already! :impatient:

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

really really awesome suit. looking forward to seeing the prototype!
HT hasnt been particularly good at making this kind of suit,
hope they can prove me wrong this time around.

They aren't? Vision looks amazing and I quite like my ASM1 figure.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

It could be Hot Toys is waiting to see how well Civil War does to decide if they should add more accessories for Spider-Man. Maybe a Tom Holland head sculpt, Web shooter led red lights, the first sloppy handmade costume, shield, etc.

They should add more as people will pay more for this one.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

I figured they might announce a T'Challa sculpt after the movie was released everywhere, like they did for Rey's lightsaber.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

Theres a big difference between making a brand head sculpt and re-packaging a lightsaber they already had for Finn.

But Panther certainly deserves a head sculpt more than say, Antman who never takes his helmet off :duh

We're not getting a BP sculpt just like there won't be an Affleck or a Holland sculpt. An extra sculpt is probably double the production cost, that and the fact that they don't know how well a new figure is going to sell...too much risk

They are fine without them (next edition maybe).

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

Hmm, as much as I liked his appearance in the film, I can't see myself getting this one, unless it's priced accordingly. I don't see this guy coming with much in the way of accessories, and I doubt it will come with a Holland/Parker sculpt, considering the most we see of his face is his chin.

I'd rather wait until the Homecoming Spider-Man, because that one would probably have some decent accessories, and a Parker sculpt.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

Holland sculpt? At this point, I doubt we'll get his homemade costume. :lol

I'm guessing some hands, five or six different webs and a dynamic stand for about the price of the first Ant-Man.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

I assume they'll make him to scale, so probably 9 or 10 inches tall? Are the other Spidey HTs that small? If he is, this will be a big selling point for me.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

I need this figure in my life lol I'm hoping we see him at least by the end of the week.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

9 inches would mean the dude his 4'6 hah.... 5 foot for 10 inches.

should be like 11 inches.

the non toby spideys are shorter. toby spidey is huge.

Hot Toys might invest in an all new body for Spidey because the movie will be a hit and he's a beloved character. It will sell well justifying costs. I didn't buy the Sony ones but this one I want to buy because it evokes the 1960s Spider-Man.

That's what I'm thinking. He's a small and lean teenager, they can't just use a stock body surely? I'm sure he's smaller than ASM2 Spidey. They need to scale it right or I'm out. Not just height but body shape and he needs to be super poseable :)

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

I'm not expecting a Holland sculpt, but I would like a half masked sculpt.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

Looks like Tom Holland is 5'8". The same height as Toby McGuire. Though the HT Spider-Man 3 figure was too tall hopefully this will be the right height. Most likely the same height as the ASM 1 version. Though he was too small to be a Garfield Spidey at 5' 10 1/2". The ASM 2 version was perfect height for Garfield.
