Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

Spidey and Black Panther are the only two must haves from the line for me. Might get Falcon but he's not a priority. Once Natasha is released I'll get the mini Ant Man parted out.

Spidey, Cap, and Iron Man were my big wants from the film. I'll get Crossbones and Falcon as well. Still on the fence about Black Panther.

I doubt we'll get a Peter Parker until next year with the solo.

Speaking of that, I really hope Fisk does make an appearance... HT can make a figure of him then.

I really really hope so too. Denofrio killed it.

I know Marvel ignores thierr shows even through they are connected but, I think the Netflix shows should. They at times ate better written and done than the movies

Finally watched the film. Spidey was indeed as many have said; absolute stand out. Hope his gets announced soon. Need this swinging from my shelves yesterday.

In Homecoming if Spider-Man has the webs under his arms, I hope he does the classic Ditko running pose. Like on the Spider-Man #8, Captain Action, and Lance paperback covers.

Just package him with an Ant-Man miniature figure, it's two characters, won't drive up the cost and handles the licensing issue.

That along with Cap's shield would be perfect!

That doesn't fix the licensing issue. The whole point is to ensure there are no uneven splits in profit or cost type arguments. If you where the owner Spider-Man rights and they sold it with a one inch antman but you had to split the profit 50/50 would that be ok with you? Don't answer as a fan, but as someone in business.

Whatever they do it will be clearly spelled out in the licensing documents. But if they require a two pack there's no way it will be just a tiny antman.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

I wonder if they could do made to order two packs where you can get Spider-Man with a choice of a variety of other Civil War characters?

Sorry but that just doesn't make any sense business wise.

Yep. That's true

Maybe not, but spell out to me why you think it doesn't?

As a customer I am on the fence with several Civil War Characters - getting a Spider-Man with many of these could push me off the fence and encourage me to buy a figure I might not otherwise buy on its own.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

Spell out why you think it would?

There's a bunch of reasons why doing that doesn't work. From packaging to shipping to manufacturing. Just making Spider-Man in his own box and giving an option to order it with another figure in its own box isn't a multipack that's just ordering multiple figures. It doesn't work with the licensing issues that have been reported and it doesn't do anything positive for the business.

A true two pack has two figures in the same package. To have the option of Spider-Man and cap, or Spider-Man and crossbones or Spider-Man and falcon or whatever means making new packing for each version. Which means each package costs significantly more and has significantly less total sales. It also means you can't sell Spider-Man until every single figure is out, and that you have to hold back a portion of every single figure just in case some person wants that person with Spider-Man. And that's just to start with. There are a hundred other reasons why that makes no sense.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

I'm still trying to figure out who they would package Spidey with in a two pack from the film. Someone mentioned battle-damaged Iron Man, which would be a good idea. Honestly, I wouldn't mind if they packaged him with another character we'd likely not get a release of otherwise like Sharon Carter. I also wouldn't mind them packaging him with another member of team Iron Man, like Vision, who already recently had a figure in AOU, but will probably get another release with this film or even a battle damaged War Machine.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

Id look at pepper and mk9 as what they may do.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

I would have liked a Spider-Man/Ant-Man 2 pack because they're both the funny guys and kind of ring ins on both sides. Too bad they released Ant-Man as a solo figure already, but it would have been a neat 2 pack. Plus seeing as the first Ant-Man just released there may be more fans inclined to skip the CW figure in favour of the first one, but would have bought it if it was bundled with Spidey.
