Aunt May dying and Tobey Spiderman being the one pleading and leading the charge for MCU Peter to not push the button really made this movie a homerun for me.
Yeah it was really nice that Holland finally got to have a true "with great power" death scene that played out on screen.

Everyone forgetting Peter was almost as emotional as Babu Frik wiping 3PO's memory. :yess:

The SW reference is appropriate because Aunt May died of Padme's disease. 🙏

"I'm ok Peter. Ok, now I'm dead, bye Peter." :wave

I'm reminded of a longstanding criticism of the MCU being it's lack of truly dastardly villains that you love to hate. Thankfully IW/EG gave us Thanos in all his glory but now Green Goblin gets added to the list! :rock Hell this one single movie gave us an entire Rogue's Gallery to rival that of Batman himself.

I hope HT goes all in on the villains from this film because I'd love to have a final battle GG with glider on the shelf.

Was Goblin really as cruel as Thanos? Or was he more like Capt Hook vs Darth Vader?

SpiderMan movies don't strike me as the type that have a simply evil and menacing villain who dies in a fantastic fiery way. They all seem to be second-guessing themselves and feeling pity for their situation. They're weak.

Thanos never laughed in any of the heroes' faces after killing a loved one in front of them while simultaneously blaming that hero for the loved one's death...

I think I added more after you answered...

That said, did he feel bad afterwards? Did he pull a Gollum and have Norman come out crying?

Goblin personality is... its that damn Norman I want to get rid of. Bet Goblin does too.

I wish Tilda Swinton could soul-smack him so Goblin could separate and be the green monster we all want him to be.

Tobey and Andrew first figures of the new year? Can only hope.
Dear lord I hope so. I am also predicting Iron Studios will release Legacy Replica 1/4 scale of each to go with their previewed Holland Integrated suit one. If they fit together as a dio AND have head sculpt switch-outs, that's 3 grand I'll be throwing at them. Ugh.

Wow

You Jaws and I haven’t agreed on a movie for quite awhile now so this is a pleasant surprise!

The emotions in this movie outweigh anything negative I can say about it so it’s the the MCU TROS for me

:chase
Has it been that long since we agreed. I thought there was something else recently… Maybe I’m thinking of TROS again :lol

You know what else I liked… the use of the old Spidey themes for the characters. Especially since they used the James Horner theme from TAS and not the Hans Zimmer from TAS2.

Oh I wasn’t aware of composer changes for those movies.

As soon as they ended I was out the theater with no desire to read their credits lol

Goblin took it personal, Thanos was just feeding his own “ego” That makes Norman Osborn more menacing since he really never cared how far he took it, that depth from the 1st spiderman gets transferred well into this film because it means he literally can’t control anymore once he smashed the helmet. It was all downhill for everyone then.
