From the sounds of it, the reviewer of SD at IGN is known for rating games a little too high.

I don't trust IGN anymore. Most places are giving this an 8/8.5 though though. Seems about right.

Gonna grab it. Anything lower i woulda waited for price drop.

I didnt expect this to be spidey's game comback but it seems people like it. I have to buy this now. I'm a huge spidey fan. My only gripe is that they put freaking carnage in the game and no venom ? Venom made carnage and he's my favorite villian.

This game is going to go cheap fast. With Reach hitting next week and then Black Ops next month, by the time I'm ready to play a game like this it will be a most $40.

This game is friggin' awesome. Traded Metroid: Other M in for this today and I never thought I would say this, but I'm having SO MUCH MORE fun with this than Metroid. The different feel of the worlds really breaks up what could have become repetitive, and I think I might be in love with the Noir levels. It reminds me of my favorite parts of Arkham Asylum, and I'm just generally having a hell of a lot of fun with it so far. This was pretty much an impulse buy, but damn am I glad I picked it up.

It also helps that the game not being open world gives it a much tighter focus this time around. While the web-swinging was just great in the previous open world games, it's pretty much all I did and I got bored quickly. The tighter focus here with the structured levels really, really helps me get much more into it than I did the previous games.
