mine didnt make the trip unharmed :(
the pin is to long so it doesnt sit on the base with the feet. which aint a big problem for me.

and the tip of 1 nail is gone. which aint a big deal iether. i only discovered it just now after staring at it for an hour :).

but i do think SS needs to do better on QC because the nail broke off before packing. cant find it in the box.

dont like the way its packed iether. statue can move around a bit.

but the spino is awesome. great detail.

not sure i should get a refund and destroy the statue. or try to get a discount on it (for example 15 %) and get it repaired here only 1 hour drive away. and the 15% discount would cover it repairs for sure.

The pin could be trimmed with some help and the proper equipment. The tip of the nail..I guess it depends how much it bothers you..fixing it wouldn't be a big problem at all..but if it's just the very tip..I would paint a little bit over it and chalk it up to battle damage...and def get the discount.. ;)

I will say that these two most recent Dinosauria statues seem to bear a closer resemblance to the prototype photos than any previous piece. If this a sign of things to come, I will be very happy when the Apatosaurus arrives.

im going for the discount.

it took me a hour to find it in the first place. and it doesnt really bother me. if it starts bothering me i could always repair it.

but they need to give me a good discount. they tryed to rip me off with a 2% discount before. then i just get the refund.

i hear you on not having the space! I just bought a new house, haven't moved in yet, and still don't have enough space!

I hear ya on that one, I just got a new apartment in March and thought I had plenty of room to grow my collection. Whoops!

Saw this in person today and this monster simply dwarfs the other pieces... When I receive mine, I think I should place this along with the SS Alien Queen since they're roughly the same size...

Is the pin really too long or is it just not going down all the way ? If it is def too long instead of shortening the pin you could possibly just drill out the peg a hole to make it slightly deeper..if there is room to do it.

pin is too long. Still need to measure how deep the hole is and how long the pin is. The base aint really thick so i am afraid i cant drill it. It will get too thin. But i am not sure yet.

I emailed for a discount. havent got an answer yet but its weekend :)

i had my doubts on this piece. On the promotion picture the spinosaurus looked like something scared the crap out of him but in person its much better!

Hmm, that group shot reminds me that I gotta get the raptor dio now that the height is no longer an issue...

I think Stego should be revealed next. It even got another mention in the latest issue of PT.
