Just noticed my Spino is missing the front right tooth. Its all good though it gives the piece life like she lost it during battle. :panic:

That's the exact same thing I do with my statues. Somethings missing, just blame it on a past battle. :lol

Now when there's a big chunk missing, with white polystone exposed, it's a little harder to pretend it's not damaged. :lol

REX

VS.

SPINO!!!!!!! Moved some statues around today:clap

Same with my male Allosaurus. It's missing the 3rd tooth from the left dentary. All my other pieces seem okay without any broken or chipped off parts except for the Carnotaurus which has a crack beneath the lower jaw and upper portion of the neck... :monkey4

Man, the Spino just dwarfs all the others. I love these statues. Easily my favorite line from Sideshow.

I would say they are roughly to scale, yes. Sue was 40 feet long, and Spinosaurus is estimated around 50. It's just a shame we know so little about the latter.

Cool..being able to see the two creatures together like this..I don't think Spino was such a pushover as people like to make him sound. Assuming they both lived in the same environment for a minute..I can't see one daring to challenge the other..both are too big and too dangerous to really battle out it out in the wild..of course should they been forced to it..I can't say for certain who would end up on top. ;)

Ugh, you're going to incite the same tiresome debate. :lol

Has anyone heard anything about Reign of the Dinosaurs? I was hoping some new info or media would come from Comic-Con, but I've seen nothing yet.

I know... muhwa ha ha ha !!!

Truth be told I always figured Rex would be the winner..but really this piece has pretty changed my mind to a toss up. ;)

I couldn't find anything on RotD that was recent..not even a transcript of the Comic Con panel discussion.

While the rest of us are awaiting more pics or our own pieces...anyone want to guess the lineup next year ? Or the possibility of another holiday piece ?

So far it's :

QTR 1 Tupuxuara
QTR 2 Apatosaurus
QTR 3 ?
QTR 4 ?

right ? the only other species mentioned has been the Stego..and it's been out there awhile with no new info.

We've been told it's going to be a large piece..after the Apato one would assume that would put it at QTR 4...but it's also possibly going to be a Diorama so that could be after the Apato since it would be 3 maquettes in a row.

It's kind of funny to think we know of all but one piece, and 2011 isn't even here yet.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say... marine reptile, just because they mentioned it at one point.

It was mentioned..of course they also said Pterosaurs implying more than one and so far the Tupu has been it. I would love have more pterosaurs and of course a marine reptile or two ! Maybe make a couple for the holiday ornaments this year..a pterosaur or mosasaur would look much better than an angel on the tree anyway eh ? lol

I figure they will announce the last piece over Christmas.. or maybe early 2011..the Stego should def have pics by December if it is indeed the next one.

Would anyone be interested in a dinosaur mating scene ? To my knowledge it's never been in any kind of format other than drawings and painting.

Something ala Stout's work :

I think I'll pass on the mating scene. :lol

I would love to see a marine reptile. But after the Stego, let's get back to some Rax, Carno, Styrac sized maquettes. Do we have an idea of how big the Stego is gonna be?

Wow, he even fills the scene with pinkish hues and butterflies. Talk about a romantic atmosphere. :rotfl
