Not so great Dio...I like the fact that Sideshow is going for not-so-popular characters but I don't think that just placing Psylocke in the air (as almost all of the dios) doesn't make it dynamic. The action could have been better IMO as well as the sculpt, but...Congratulations to those who wanted something like this

Not a fan of the characters or Dio's so I'll pass, I get both sides of why people are hating and why people are happy to see some other characters get a chance but what about top tier characters that haven't got a chance??

I was really hoping a DareDevil PF would be announced and I know I'm not the only one, and for the guy who was happy to see Psylocke in this dio because it gives him hope that they might make her in PF form....well, the last dio was Daredevil vs Punisher and I still don't see a Daredevil PF!!!

OFF to SF to see what the Staturforumers thinks of it....:wave

While funny, it doesn't really belong in those threads... remember we try to keep this a family friendly forum.

You have to excuse myself and Shai. We both come from Canada, and we're used to living in a country that isn't so ana... errr "tight" on censorship. :D

It's nice, but I am not gonna order it. Psylocke's sculpted face looks off. She would make for the better in Adam's hands :)

SS, have you guys seen my awsome AV, maybe at SDCC ;)

Funny, when I looked at this piece for the first time, and I know I was one of the first people from this forum to see the piece.. my first thoughts were I bet the general consensus of this piece is, decent enough sculpt, but big PASS. The best part of it being Spiral and her sculpt and execution, and the fault, and this being a BIG one, is the sculpt or choice of sculpt for Psylocke's face.

why does this piece remind me of DC Direct quality or something...?

yeah, sadly Psy looks a bit manly and SHES the MAIN reason for purchase. The psy blades look akward as well.

I'll wait for the AH version.

Spiral overall looks well sculpted.

Face looks nice too.

What a bunch of whiney ^^^^^es.

It looks fantastic, very dynamic and cool colors that complement each other well. If I had the slightest interest in the characters I'd be all over this.

Not every piece is for every collector. Just because one item comes out that isn't of interest to you doesn't mean something that you'd prefer is forever lost and will never be made.

I think Marvel collectors should be encouraged that something this obscure can be produced - it bodes well for just about anything in the Marvel universe being possible.

I agree.. to a degree. This is very Bowen-isque approach SideShow is taking. Much like the Blade vs. Dracula piece. It's nice seeing some of the smaller characters get some loving. Having said that, if it doesn't translate well into sales, it doesn't mean jack. I don't like the vibe on here. I think this piece maybe a hard seller for SS. Atleast the Blade vs. Drac dio got some initial bites. I have yet to see one taker for this piece.

That's not to say that every collector of SideShow and/or Marvel dwells from these forums, but it is a good place to measure/gage a certain item's value or success (or lack there of) within the collector community.

All lot more people at Statue Forum enjoy this piece.I see a lot of ''Marvel collectors'' from here who are Marvel Polystone poseurs.DD is right, whiney ^^^^^es.

For the record, IMO it's a pretty cool sculpt. I think it just falls into that middle ground, like DDvsPun. We're all ruined by the first dios, Hulk vs Spidey and Wolvie vs. ST.

I also like to believe they are saving the good versus poses for upper tier characters, but I'm probably kidding myself.

I don't understand how SS chooses to pose characters so poorly all the time. While Spiral looks good, her 2 arms above her head make no sense, who holds a sword one-handed in a powerstrike, while the other hand is seemingly getting ready to grasp it? That retarded choice was also used on the Obi vs Ani dio, which is not at all accurate to the film. Then you have Spiral's other two sword arms, which are inexplicably locked straight down in the middle of a fight. It's just so unnatural. If SS didn't pose so many of their statues poorly, I would own a lot more of them.
