All lot more people at Statue Forum enjoy this piece.I see a lot of ''Marvel collectors'' from here who are Marvel Polystone poseurs.DD is right, whiney ^^^^^es.

Not me! I got the Blade vs. Dracula piece... hell I pimped that ^^^^^ up .. and it still took forever to sell out. Yet I will never get rid of this piece. Well, mostly because I won't get my money back, and it's not always about the hype or $$$. Sometimes it's the love of the character (saw every Blade movie in the theatre and own all 3 on DVD), LOVE vampires, and that is a kick ass pimpin' sculpt! LOVE MY BLADE VS. DRACULA DIO! Best dio around!

I agree.. to a degree. This is very Bowen-isque approach SideShow is taking. Much like the Blade vs. Dracula piece. It's nice seeing some of the smaller characters get some loving. Having said that, if it doesn't translate well into sales, it doesn't mean jack. I don't like the vibe on here. I think this piece maybe a hard seller for SS. Atleast the Blade vs. Drac dio got some initial bites. I have yet to see one taker for this piece.

That's not to say that every collector of SideShow and/or Marvel dwells from these forums, but it is a good place to measure/gage a certain item's value or success (or lack there of) within the collector community.

I think Marvel collectors should be encouraged that something this obscure can be produced - it bodes well for just about anything in the Marvel universe being possible.

I didn't say that it wouldn't sell.. thus the word "may" was put in there. Either way, going based on the forum this is the first piece where I have read nothing but no sale from fellow board members. I hope it sells... lots of work went into it, and will only mean we get more obscure characters if it does.

According to Shai, it seems to be a big hit on statueforum.com...

Guess time will tell if this is a shelf warmer for long periods of time like the Thing PF. Least we forget, that we see many items take on a lot of initial orders, only to see a plethora of cancellations. I hope that it does sell well.. I want a Deadpool piece!

Man, I so am tempted to get Abomination and at first I was urked by SideShow's decision to come out with it. But the sheer size and detail of the piece is making it very intriguing to pull the trigger.

Alot of people will PO then see the edition size and cancel. Edition sizes for EX items should be put up front not lets see how much we can milk this baby for then throw up the edition size. JMO

Its an interesting combination. Spiral is definitely classic X-Men with Mojo and Longshot and that whole ridiculousness. While Psylocke in this incarnation is definitely more the modern fan who was brought in with the Jim Lee era. I have no interest in this particular piece but I wouldn't mind seeing Psylocke done in a different formatting

Cause we can't afford to get it all. I am glad I cancelled both my vs. dio and LSB bust concerning Thor.. love the character, but I always wanted a PF and nothing else mattered. Now I have it.

Blade was the exception to the rule. I was surprised that SideShow offered a dio of him, and with the off chance I wouldn't get a PF of the vampire slayer... I had to get the dio. Plus it just kicks MONDO ASS!

This also gives me hope that we may see some more characters than just the heavy hitters.

That is a good post. You hear crying about the "same ole characters" then when someone new comes out everyone starts complaining. I'm not saying that there is not better choices, there are, but it is nice to see two completely new characters getting a chance.

As an X-Men fan, I love the statue. Very original when you consider all the F*$@n' Spider-man, Wolverine, and Hulk statues out there, including the onslaught of Bowen Marvel Statues.

I want one, but just don't have the money for this and my 1:6 scale wants.

great dio, nice execution, very Dynamic...I like the colors also...Price tag is cool too...I'm not buying cause I'm not a fan of the characters..but I like that Sideshow gives some characters like that a awesome statue to make them shine.I dont understand all the haters...Just dont buy it..its more money in your pocket in the end.

It looks fantastic, very dynamic and cool colors that complement each other well. If I had the slightest interest in the characters I'd be all over this.

Not every piece is for every collector. Just because one item comes out that isn't of interest to you doesn't mean something that you'd prefer is forever lost and will never be made.
