wow gonna really try to keep this dio on order now after seeing those beautiful pics. and the dio would sell out quick if psylocke had a thong on instead

I think that they did a great job with Psylocke on this one (not counting the horrible energy "fist-snowcones").

She has the appearance of a person coming out of a leaping spin into a sidekick. The swords are positioned to emphasize the motion. Perhaps the whole "staircase" thing has been done to death by Sideshow so far, but having her at the top of the staircase allows more realism for such a leap.

Why do you think the staircase thing is over done ?

I know the Blade Dio & the Cap dio are on stairs also but there are like 12 vs dios . . . 3 out of 12 is overkill ?

Personally I have no problem with the staircase use. I had been reading other comments wondering why it was a staircase used once again. My comment was in defense of using the staircase in this diorama, as it added to the height of the leap.

Cool piece but I won't be buying it.

Food for thought though, I'm seeing the exact same "scene" in just about every vs. dio released. 1 high, 1 low...

Visually, level changes add depth and make a piece more pleasing to look at. Its actually an artistic technique. If your eyes can't take everything in at once it really accentuates the 3-D nature of the piece and gives the feeling of action. Makes you literally look the piece up and down. Flat pieces would look very two 2-D.

Looks great, but not for me. Not sure why they chose those two characters, from different points in the X-Men universe, to make the dio. Either way, it's a great looking piece, just not something I'd get.

Yeah for the most part anything SS produces looks good. Its not the sculpt or quality that is lame. Its just poor character choice (which isnt apparently completely up to SS).

I do think the piece looks excellent, I am just not a collector of dio's. Hence, why I am hoping one day SS will make a Psylocke PF.

It's all good . . . :)

ES is 350 btw . . .

Its funny, but I think if they had put a thong on psylocke the Dio would have been a instant sellout. Sex for nerds always sells.

:lol :lol :lol

I'm surprised they didn't, SSC isn't afraid of that anyway....its how I remember Psylocke.

I have to say pass on this.
I'm a huge Psylocke fan and I remember this fight well...I think.
Didn't Spiral slap a mask onto Psylockes face and impale it with some a psychic blade?
Psylockes hands looks like she's fighting with cotton candy.:rotfl

EX ES 350... and it's sold out... mmm... too many neg comments about this piece.. but I think I'll still keep it as it's still MARVEL! ;)

I ordered it - Looks cool, but I think it's going to be way more impressive in person.

Kinda like the Cap/Skull dio - at first I thought that one was "meh", but once I saw it in person I was floored and had to have it.

hawt!!...finally, a statue of Spiral!....but what the hell's up with Psylocke's psionic blades!? they look like ice cream cones lodged on her hands!:horror:google...should be transparent!

got my arrival in 15-20 notice today...cant wait to have this Psylocke to hold me over until SS makes a comiquette or PF of her
