:rock :rock Splinter Cell and Sam Fisher have been one of my favorite franchises on the Xbox. I always felt it was the original Xbox's "MGS stealth" series so this is good news for me. The article states that Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory are being re-released in HD. Doesn't say anything about the 360 though, but I'm sure it'll happen as well. Looks like the PS3 is getting some love, and with HD visuals and trophy support I'm sure this'll sell pretty well if they price it about right.

~~~Hmmm....this is good news for the chances of the Metal Gear series being re-released in HD.
Oh no way, those are my two favorite Splinter Cells. I will definately pick them up and play through them again.
Interesting. I've never played any of the SC games so I will pick this up at some point.
I'm still waiting to find the Sly Collection for around $20 and looking forward to the release of the Team Ico collection.
I'll definitely be grabbing this. I've played Chaos Theory countless times, but only played the first two once each. Chaos Theory is still the absolute pinnacle of the series for me.
I liked Double Agent well enough, and am currently playing Conviction. I actually am loving Conviction, but it's feeling more like (and I know this comparison is used in every single game review) "Jason Bourne who sometimes hides." Which is still awesome.
But I'm looking forward to getting back into some night vision goggles with some sticky shockers.
:rock :rock Yes. That's my reviews of the series as well. I like Pandora Tomorrow a little more than Chaos Theory, but both are still great games.
I definitely am looking forward to playing the first two over again. I've only played those once, a long time ago, so it'll be a pretty fresh experience.
Definitely worth it again. I remember the first time playing Splinter Cell and finally doing the split-jump. They showed it in the preview trailers, but there was only 2-3 places that allowed you to do it.
Yeah, even though you've seen certain things in trailers and previews, the first time YOU do it, it's a real "holy ____!" moment.
I must have scene the lighthouse preview from Chaos Theory twenty times before playing it, but when I finally was actually the one playing, grabbing the guy while hanging from the railing and tossing him over was such a rush.
