Re: Spud's Customs

Little update on the Imperials here. I've got my Death Star troopers and the Death Squad commander all suited up with their proper head sculpts so I went ahead and got them all situated on their shelves. I also finally got around to fixing Vader's and Luke's sabers.

The DS commander is looking better with his new head but I broke the cord coming from his ear piece so I have to fix that still. And I'm waiting on a belt and correct pouches from Spider. He's hooking me up with some casts from an original.

I also acquired a Marmit Stormtrooper recently and I was trying different display ideas with Leia.

I really like the lighting in these next two created from the glow of the sabers.

And somehow I forgot to upload the pictures I took that had Vader in frame so I'll get those later.
But I also have a new Leia from the ceremony at the end of A New Hope.

Re: Spud's Customs

Looking good Spud! Your DSC, DST's, commanders, & officers are great-good head sculpt choices,BTW.
Any chance you might could take a larger group pic?…to get the whole garrison feel going?

Re: Spud's Customs

Why yes I can. I'll get a couple taken tonight when I get home from work. Vader and his minions.

Speaking of Vader, here's that other shot I left out.

Nate's sabers make 1/6 Star Wars all the more awesome.

Re: Spud's Customs

They look great man. Nice job on Ceremony Leia! Did Snyder paint them or did you? You've also convinced me to source a new head for my DS trooper.

Thanks for the saber plug, although Pixelpiper has taken over saber production.

Re: Spud's Customs

Thanks guys. :)

@ Nate, the Leia sculpts, the ceremony one came as is on a custom I recently bought and the other I bought on eBay awhile back.

Re: Spud's Customs

Yeah it was a pretty good score. The seller had the other death star trooper I needed made with the same recipe as the one I bought from JonEl which was a stroke of luck, and then I saw that he had that awesome Leia and a Marmit Stormtrooper so I couldn't pass them up.

Re: Spud's Customs

The Rebel landing squad.

And my other Imperials that I left out the other day. I'd have to say that my favorites are the Sandtroopers and the Snowtroopers. Some of the best that SSC has made thus far. Just acquired another custom Sandie that was the exclusive Sgt so now I have the hand with the droid part.

"Look sir. Droid."

Looking forward to the probe droid coming in soon.

Re: Spud's Customs

I got him from Toy Anxiety but I can't remember what I found him under. He was just a nude figure body that came with the switch out neck joints to accommodate different heads but this one actually came with the head. And he resembles Terrance Howard quite a bit. I think it was called X-Series African American XB1.

Re: Spud's Customs

if you got parts for the endor guys from TA...they were probably mine at some point..lol..
i still have one pair of pants and a pouch or two lying around..and some boots/gaiters if you need anything like that, hit me up...

Re: Spud's Customs

Haha I did get them all from TA. I put that figure together entirely from one order. Thanks man!

Re: Spud's Customs

Did a little clone work today. I've been on this long quest of updating all my phase two buckets and I finally put my guys back on their respective shelves. So I thought I'd snap a few pics.

Here's CW Obi Wan with his troops sitting on my Pandora table.
Yes I know this is the wrong version of CW Obi to be with phase II troopers.

Clone Wars Anakin from the later seasons waiting for Rex.

Then I put the 212th all together on their shelf. A pretty awesome looking squad if I do say so myself.

Then there's my phase one 501st guys. Just waiting on Denal.

And lastly I have two of the original 501st clones that I got updated helmets for but they aren't weathered as much as the new veteran version so I gave the helmet a white wash (left) and I'm pleased with the result.
