Re: Spud's Customs - Vizam

Wow! Looks incredible.. Great work on all of it..did you do the clothing as well?

Btw, that Han and Chewy are in freaking incredible.

Re: Spud's Customs - Vizam

Vizam looks great so far. Good stuff.

Yeah, that headwrap is tricky. I used a towel and some old fabric on mine as well.

Re: Spud's Customs - Vizam

Cheers guys. Thanks.

Yeah Chris better believe I studied the hell out of yours in preparation for working on mine. haha

Re: Spud's Customs - Vizam

Thanks stranger! Good to hear from you man. :D

Here's some more WIP of Vizam. Really close to finishing him. Just gotta sort out his wrist armor.

A few shots of his finished cranium cover.

Then I did his boot covers next.

Then came the leg wraps. These were interesting to do but I loved they way they turned out. Managed to use some of that fake leather material and put the underside out to give it that felt look of the costume leggings all while making them not appear too thick and bulky.

Got dem puffy legs. Started painting the leggings.

Painted up and strapped down.

And here he is as of now. Got his belt and pouches ready and have been doing watered down coats of weathering on his pants. Don't want to screw up and make too dark of weathering. Also got his vest painted up and distressed a bit.

More pics coming soon. :)

Re: Spud's Customs - Vizam

Thanks Steven, Chris. :)

Oh and to answer your question Solo from way up at the top, no I don't do the clothing. That part comes from the Master, Enaud. I have several skiff guard kits that have a head sculpt and the majority of the clothing that serves as the base for the figure. Then I paint and add things of my own from there.

Re: Spud's Customs - Vizam

Appreciate it Ron. :)

Here's the last of the WIP shots just showing his wrist armor and then some final shots of him. This guy was a lot of fun to create.

Made from some boot shafts I had cut off from a project long ago.

Then the finished shots.

On to the next goon...

Re: Spud's Customs - Vizam

Thanks guys. :D I think these skiff guards have been my favorite to work on. Love adding in all the details.
I've got two more Niktos coming down the pipe and then Mr. Snitken. That one should be fun.

Re: Spud's Customs - Vizam

I bet pote will be fun to do. sorry to hijack your thread spud but I wanted to show a photo of pote Snitken that a friend did for me about a year or so ago. he is one of my favorites next to the ephantmon custom I have . IMG_0183.jpg IMG_0185.jpg

Re: Spud's Customs - Vizam

Damn, he looks great. Who did it? They did a great job on it. I'm looking forward to the challenge of getting his body proportions just right. Love the detailing. Good stuff.

Re: Spud's Customs - Vizam

his name is dale he is doing a lot of the skiff guards for me. he made every thing from scratch the body suit everything I don't know how he did it but even the silver things on his shoulders. it is an amazing figure to behold. you have the action figure for pote Snitken? did he come with a weapon if so what does it look like or can one be found

Re: Spud's Customs - Vizam

Yeah I've got the Pote figure but I don't know what weapon he came with. That's a really old figure and its been sitting in my Jabba's Palace display for years. I've got all the weapons for my Hasbro figures in various tackle boxes. Google would probably be your best bet to see what he came with.

Re: Spud's Customs - Vizam

Pretty sure he didn't because he was just the driver of the other skiff that Luke jumped over to. Vedain drove the one that Luke, Han, and Chewie were on and Pote drove the other.
