Re: Spud's Customs - Muftak

Thanks dudes.

It's always a great day when you get a package in the mail from the Master. Plenty of projects to keep me occupied for awhile.

And this... Thank the maker!

So thankful to have this guy as part of my Cantina crew. After some work I got the face painted up and attached and then closed it in a little around the edges to make it blend with the surrounding hair. Still some futzing to do but he's getting there.

Duane, seriously dude, I can't thank you enough for giving me the opportunity to get this guy. Truly excellent craftsmanship and I'm honored to have a piece of your handiwork in my collection. It still blows me away that if not for all your talent and resources, I would only have Greedo and Momaw Nadon. haha Again, I appreciate it beyond words, my friend.

Holy Guacamole! That Muftak looks sweet! Great job! :clap

I recently finished my custom Sullustan Endor Rebel thanks in part to Duane's awesome heads. Now I think I know what I want to work on next! :idea

Re: Spud's Customs - Wooof

Thanks everyone. :) I still remember back when I first joined here seeing your Wooof Chris and thinking how amazing it was. It was really beyond my comprehension at the time how it could even be done. All your customs blew my mind but something about Wooof stood out. And now, two years later I have my own. Thanks for all the inspiration dude.

And yes they are Predator hands.

Cheers bro. Looks great man.

Re: Spud's Customs - Wooof

Another one out of the park.:clap

What are the elements that Enaud doesn't provide for this guy that you have to build yourself?

If I attempt this guy I'll probably tweak the headsculpt a little - I think Chakaman did that - but I have some saved Pred hands ready for him.

Re: Spud's Customs - Wooof

Duane can do the shirt, vest, armor plate, belt with wool, and pants. I think he's done the bandolier for a few but I just modded an Endor Rebel one pretty easily. Pretty much everything. Just modding involved to make it look how you want. The Helmet takes a little time to make it accurate but nothing too hard. I modded my head sculpt a little as well.

Re: Spud's Customs - Wooof

Cheers dude! Can't wait to see what becomes of those goodies once you have your way with them ;)
Despite all of the cussing that was in the air, he was a fun project. I can't tell you how much I miss that furry bastard. Glad he went to a good home:)

Love how your Wooof turned out. He was always my favorite skiff guard growing up. You did a great job on him.

Re: Spud's Customs - Wooof

Thanks Duane. He's being well taken care of. He's never without a drink in his hand. ;)
As I keep doing these skiff guards it kind of saddens me that I don't have an awesome palace diorama to display them in. Eventually I may try the arch and everything to go with the steps you made me.

My weekend was highly productive as I was able to finish two skiff guards, Barada and Kithaba.
With these guys, Barada especially, I really tried to focus in on the posture of the character and I'm extremely please with how they worked out. Knowing that a lot of the pouches that were used on screen for these guys were Vietnam era US gear, I was able to locate 1/6 Vietnam gear to match including the M14 pouches on Kithaba and the medical pouches, butt pack, and canteen cover on Barada. Still need to paint up a blaster for Barada and probably give his sleeves the water treatment but here they are more or less completed.
