Thanks CogPaul, I would most likely die from smoke inhalation myself BUT enough talk of fires, don't want to tempt fate.:lol

yeah stop it. now i'm never going to be able to sleep. just the thought of melting polystone makes my knees weak. insurance is great, but it wouldn't even come close to the mental damage such a situation would cause.:peace

The Hulk PF does nothing for me. I've considered selling it but keep it around just to round out the Marvel PF part of the collection. I think the Thing is a much better PF. Don't get me wrong, it is a spectacular piece but there is something about it that just doesn't sit well with me. This may sound like blasphemy but I would have preferred a more modern portrait to the Kirby style look.

ACK!!!

I just bought him but I also was very against making him part of my new collection for the longest time because like you, I held onto those same thoughts that I much prefer a modern Hulk (as in new movie or similar) vs Kirby Hulk yet seeing that much green always gravitates me back to him (same as my house, I kept going back to the one with the big yard).

I think that it's his sheer mass that caused me to break thru the negative feelings that he was simply just a green monster and not the Hulk.

That is why i'm hoping they make a modern PF Hulk, it would compliment the older.

Regarding The Thing, he does nothing for me even though his details are nice. It's just that he doesn't look massive and powerful enough.

What's your feelings on Wolverine's blades?

For me, they skimped on those and they are WAY TO EASY to damage. As a Director of Emergency Medical Services I fully comprehend the liability they avoided by not making those blades sturdier but as a 42 year old collector who is buying these for me and not my very young son, I wanted those blades to be immovable regardless that the chances of injury would've increased 100%....lol

For instance, your pictures of Wolverine (actually, all your pictures) are hands down THE best I've seen anywhere (and this is why looking at your pictures almost makes it seem as if I actually own them myself, they're right in your face) YET his right hand middle blade is bent towards the right (if looking straight at him) and that little bend keeps taking me out of the awesomeness that he truly is.

They need to make a new one with the exact same pose, outfit and base but make the Exclusive with interchangeable hands (instead of the head)!

One "safe version" (the way it is now) and a "dangerous version", at your own risk, sign this waiver that if you cut off your fingers or stab your cat, sideshow will not be held responsible!

I would always display with the dangerous hands everytime my mother in law was visiting.

:)

Would anyone know what the Sunburn comment stands for in regards to The Thing because it's on the Bay for a checp price due to this explanation from the seller:

"Huge figure. Comes with color box but not original brown shipper. Magnets that hold the head securely in place are weak on one head. Typical sunburn paintjob on this piece. That's why it is .99 to start with no reserve."

Is the Sunburn PaintJob a bad thing.....with The Thing?

There are some parts that are painted a reddish, clay color to imitate shadows (I think). It is not very noticeable when viewed from a distance however they're are some people who find it to be a deal breaker. Myself, no big deal, it's a beautiful piece.

Here's a new arrival...

Thank You

At first I really wasn't all too crazy for him but i'll admit that he's starting to grow real fast on me which is now pushing me towards a purchase.

Someone here asked me today if I want their PF for 200!

WOW!

Actually,

if you save his pictures and look in the properties it tells you which camera, either a Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XTi or a Nikon D3.

Is the Nikon used only for the outside shots?

Thank you

The D3 is the only camera that I use now, indoor and outdoors. The XTi was sold earlier this year to a fellow freak.

With Halloween around the corner, I thought this was appropriate for a revisit seeing that I'm still waiting for my damn Thor PF.

Squid I'd love to see how you currently have your stuff all displayed..

The display cabinets will be pretty much the same in the collection room...just a lot of rearranging. I did add a Besta cabinet to house my movie 1:1's and a few of the larger movie PF's but that is in my loft and away from the collection room. I'll be taking updated pics very soon as soon as I get a wide angle lens. November is my 2nd anniversary to this addictive hobby and I like to keep progress pics of the collection too.
