SS 1:6 Scale Commander Bly!

if they did make his troops, they should make them with phase I and II helmets as he is gonna comes with both. no need for the Morrison head so there sould be cost savings there. commanders have been in the $124 price range so they may go $109.99 on them.

If they don't make them, them switching the pauldron to the other side, painting the thigh armor, and removing the binoculars from the helmet is something that I would feel comfortable doing. Be hard to jack that up.

I would be down for a trooper or two from Bly's unit. Would be a fairly simple repaint and something that would make for a perfect Comic-Con Ex.

Silent Surfer who helped do some paint work on it said the figure was mocked up just using that suit. He should/will have the new body suit when it ships.

That's why i was hoping it wasn't going to be a clone, so my wallet can take a break. So much stuff i want but no $$.

If Bly is like Cody then the only difference between the exclusive and regular will be the stand. In that case i don't feel like i need to preorder him I will wait and just pick up a regular version closer to the release. That should give me some time to recover. At this rate I will be drinking water and eating ketchup packets at comic-con.

I wonder who painted it.....I wonder Im glad it looks ok in person. I was about cloned out by the time i got to this guy. There was actually a few things i would have liked to have changed on the actual sculpt paint but i think it will come out ok in production. Should look similar like Rex and Cody.

Did you also paint the armor, Josh, or just the head?

I just jumped on myself. I'm not a 1/6 collector, but I love clones and I really like what I've been seeing lately. Sideshow appears to be committed to doing all of the commanders and all of the color variations.

I just ordered a Sergeant and a Shock Trooper for $162.50 shipped. I just wish I didn't cancel the Lieutenant that I had on pre-order last summer.

With Cody and Bly onboard, I hope Sideshow will quickly follow up with Neyo, Gree and Bacara.

I was kind of surprised by Sideshow's annoucement of Bly in this week's newsletter. I thought they will announce Bly during SDCC 2011. Anyway, this was a nice surprise though. Maybe they will have one of the other Clone Commanders available for SDCC. Bacara would be cool.

I was a little disappointed Bly is next instead of one of the other commanders.

Cody and Bly always seem to get all of the attention when it comes to collectibles, though Gree has gotten a fair share. Neyo and Bacara almost nonexistent.

Still, Bly is looking awesome and will definitely be purchased.

I prefer Neyo at the back of the line, and I never understood why Gree was so much more a fan favorite than Bacara, but with the trend moving along at a steady pace, I don't think there's anything to worry about if you want them all.
