Can anyone get to the pictures from the NL? It just takes me to the preview page.

Hi Guys! Here's the link that should have been in tonight's newsletter of Obi-Wan Kenobi: Jedi Knight picture gallery.
Obi-Wan Production Blog

It's the production blog that was posted earlier in the week (so I believe most of you have already seen these, but just in case).

Thanks CAHobbit! :rock

I can't imagine how much more awesome this figure is gonna look after topstick and the water treatment.

I'll happily get the regular through my local retailer.
That kamino dart isn't the most spectacular exclusive.

One of those pics make it painfully obvious that its on the buck. :lol

The proto is. I have questions about the production figure.

The only reason I question the Buck is the production process. If they're going to recycle parts essentially for this figure, including Trev's sculpt, why put 2 versions of the head into production when you could produce the one in the newer format and just have the painters do another 3000 or so.

The paint job on this AOTC proto doesn't look like the proto images of the Clonobi figure, so it's possible they started the AOTC figure long ago, saw the opportunity to make Clone Wars Obi-Wan, sidebarred the AOTC figure, modified the head for the armor body, and put out the Clonobi prototype.

We'll know tomorrow. If we knew what other accessories he came with, we could guess better how long this figure was planned. If AOTC was before CW, I would think there'd be more accessories than we've seen so far.

Dangerous and disturbing this mystery is.

Back to the good old days... :lol

His outfit didn't change much from Episode 1 to 2, did it? Seems like basically the same thing.

Not sure about this one. I really just want the headsculpt -- it's the best Ewan Obi by far.

Oh, who am I kidding -- I'll pre-order.

His tunic was the big change. In Episode 1, it was a faintly off white and pretty baggy. In Episode 2, it became a more cream color like ROTS and ANH and had a tighter fit to him. Pants were white to make AOTC a hybrid of the TPM and ROTS styles, TPM pants and ROTS tunic. Boots were the same.

Is Topstick the stuff used with toupees? I know on RS they used that tape underneath the various layers to get them to lay just right.

I think their statement about the price being a low $70 on this one is a clear sign of the old Buck. I know the Harbinger was on a Pro. and was about $70, but that figure doesn't have the LFL License baggage Obi Has.

What is a "topstick"?

It's tape for sticking wigs down to the skin. Strong enough to hold but doesn't leave adhesive residue. Rebelscum did a tutorial back when ROTS Anakin and Obi-Wan came out about using it to get the Jedi tunics to look correct on the figures because they're baggy and floppy without help.

I just wrap an elastic around the midsection over the undershirt and it accomplishes the same effect.

That's why I'm so confused. The figure's price suggest Buck, but it seems to me like two heads in production would be a greater cost, 2 molds. Just puzzles me.

I have found that with rubber bands they eventually loose their shape where as with topstick they pretty much stay just like you want them for as long as you want them.

Yeah you're right about the mold cost. That is puzzling now that I think about it.

Well, in about 12 hours, we'll have all our answers as far as what he comes with, what body he's on and how soon he'll be shipping.
