Initially I promised to buy only the baddies for LOTR, but after pulling the trigger on the Aragorn PF!!!!!!! That is one nice human Premium Format!

I'm a take another plunge with this one.

Problem now is so many great pieces I like that are sold out and double the retail price to get.

So going to take me twice as long to get them.

May I recommend any piece from the SS/W line? Quite a few of them are stupidly cheap and all are quality IMO of coarse

not raining on anyones, parade? if you want to buy it then buy 50 of them see if i care... but there is no point always saying everything that sideshow releases is great when sometimes its not. but thats my opinion being a from a concept designer and sculptor.

hey i could probably show you my attempt once i finish a few other projects, sculpting legolas is something i would love to do in a few months time.

I'd like to see that

Aragorn is great! I like him better than Indy. He's probably my favorite PF.

I haven't gotten any baddies, though I would love a Lurtz.

It looked pretty good, but he repainted the hair and made it too vibrant.

i also only wanted the baddies since it's so easy for them to get them bang on. but i ended up with aragorn for a smokin' deal for the lcs and i never regretted it. i've always been hesitant about getting human characters since the likeness is so hard to nail, but with aragorn i think they pretty much got him right on. now frodo on the other hand (which i also got for a smokin' deal) needs some help.

if you can get aragorn below retail, you'll be happy imo.

these lotr figures/characters work so well in the PF format with all of the mixed media required. just great great pieces imo, even if the likeness isn't right on sometimes.

I don't know, its looks quite dynamic to me

looks fantastic!!! i'm gonna have to get an Aragon this summer to go with the upcoming Legolas.

Yeah Aragorn really is great, I have him with Gandalf right now, but once Legolas is out, the old man is gonna get moved. I highly recommend Aragorn, especially if you can get him cheaper than retail.

i have to agree, i've heard/read people saying that before. just have to repaint his mouth and he looks a lot better.
